Car photos/discussion thread

So JDM as fug, ye?
;)

Yeah, I'll see what I can find elsewhere as well.

Ive got a couple of people on the look for me, but the Skyline prices have rocketed recently, and they reckon for 70%-80% of them i can have one imported and on my drive, which is something im willing to give a go!

Imports in general are getting more expensive it seems.

Its the US market ;)

Cars in general are getting expensive as well!

I'd hope the US market isn't touching the R34s, as they get crushed over there due to them being illegal.

I know Africa is the prime market for the normal Japanese car exports and with certain countries starting to grow more and more, the market will grow.

R32 are only just got legal, literally 2 months ago, there are ways of getting the 34 there, but its very very very very very time consuming and expensive and kind of upsetting!

Edit: I've just taken a deposit on a the 32, its getting sold :(

No, guy that bought it, is full show car'n it!

The 34 wont be drifted, but tracked!

LOL.. not actually a Texan but I am now I suppose. I wanted this style since I was a kid. Sold my 70 c10 to my neighbor after I got this one, I still miss that truck. I had it for almost 14 years :(

I'll stick with the 350 that's in there but I did trade out the 350 auto tranny for a 700R4 so I could get 11 or so per gallon... ahh the high mpg. :D

Not the cleanest but she gets driven atleast two or three times a week to work and back.

Sorry to come off topic of skylines and trucks atm guys but i got a quickie, looking at getting a car if i get the new job im applying for, money will help alot,
As its a first car im not gonna go silly but i will do a fair whack of motor way driving so was looking at 1.4-1.6l engine for motorway speeds... just thinking of fuel and having enough omph for a bit of fun can afford the insurance no probs and with all the parts out there tinkering will be fun ...
but i've seen 2004 volkswagen golfs (5door) going for about £1,500 with about 150k on the clock is that good or bad or should i be looking to pay a bit more? Talking to people ive got mixed messages some say avoid the car cos thats too low a price other say its good price.
Car will hopefully be used for 2 years to get a little NC if im lucky ill be 26 when i get shot of the car so that will put me in good stead for what i really want anyways hope this is not too long winded.
And loving the SL looks a bit beat up but as long as she drifts well who cares eh whats under the bonnet of that r32?

My personal advice would be, buy a ford/vauxhall for cheaper bracket

Purely because parts are cheap for when they go wrong, and when it comes to car shopping, millage doesn't mean anything, most cars will go on forever if they are serviced and well cared for!

Need to check for rust, damage, wear and tear if major car servicing has been done, cambelts water pumps oil pumps, check the sills for damage incase some douchebag has jacked the car wrongt and crushed the sills! All this stuff is relative.

Don't buy the first thing you see, shop around!

Ah i knew the checks there was quite a few at that price, was just wondering if that seemed right and this probs sounds sad i was raised in fords and vauxhalls, im sick to death of them lol. well the cheaper ones anyway.
I dunno why but the golf calls to me ... sad i know but i know what ya mean about their cheapness, i just dont want one and i wanna avoid little citroens and clios ... enough of them around where i used to live...

Gonna be honest, It's hard to say if its worth the money, without me perosnally seeing it could tell you

Best thing to do is go on autotrader and find similar ones see how much they go for

It's a big if though. I'd recommend for a first car looking at around the 80k mileage mark for the best deal. It should have just had its cambelt changed so will last you around another 60-80k miles before it needs changing again. It's not that costly to replace but is if it goes on you :p.
