Car photos/discussion thread

I spoke to one company from a Skyline owners forum about imports and they will happily do it for me, they've been doing it since 1992 and at the moment the yen is about 170 to the £ which supposedly is the highest it's been since 2008.

He's looking out for midnight purple R33 GTRs for a couple of his clients atm.

I went to go look at this on Sunday, its a vspec gtr running 429hp its actually in really good nick, 2 previous UK owners 95000 miles that's actual miles clocks where converted

Drove 2.5 hours and its priced well

Midnight purple is a beautiful colour, white is too common around here, never seen a purple one. I would love a Bayside blue R34 GTR. Haven't seen a single one around here.

I've noticed more recently than before, the 34's are more common than 33's but 34 are becoming more affordable you can pick up a decent spec GTT for about £7000, I was thinking about getting one, but it won't fit in my garage!

If I was to buy a 34 it would be midnight purple as well I refuse to have any other colour

34 gtt etc are becoming more popular as more come onto market in japan. I've seen a few for ~£6k in the uk, which is r32 gt territory :O.
Japan wise the r34s have lost alot of value import wise recently, I'm not too sure why. Japan side they're still not that cheap, no where nearly Silvia level cheap. I'd almost hazard a guess that they'll get R33 cheap over here soon for a non GTR one.
Saying that r34s saloons are criminally cheap :O.

Just a quick one, you're on the right lane, but its an ignition cut not a fuel cut, engine would go bang very quickly on fuel cut ;)
The engine won't go bang on fuel cut as ignition would also be cut too. If cutting the fuel supply caused engine damage, you wouldn't get fuel cut on overrun and my engine would already be toast as the overboost protection is fuel cut. (Which i've hit a few times back when i was live mapping it) If only the ignition was cut, unburnt fuel would end up washing the bores and going down the exhaust which would damage the catalyst. (usually by melting it) The mix will obviously show as lean, but as ignition is cut too, you have no knocking or detonation to cause engine damage. (as there is no "mix" to ignite)

Does anyone else apart from me think that the r32, r33 and r34 look a lot better than r35

Someone near my house has a blue R35 with black wheels. R35s have grown on me tbh, still no r32 4 door though :D

Working in Aberdeen in the summer will be torture with all the expensive car owners, you can literally just wait to cross the road in the city centre and see a few £1m of luxury cars. Hopefully will be me in the future though if i keep in

Also for you GTR guys
