Guy: Hi, im calling about the VXR, is it still for sale?
Me: Alright mate, yeah its still for sale, are you interested...
*talks about the car, age mileage, things wrong, things right, general chit chat*
Towards the end of the conversation...
Guy: Can i come and view it?
Me: Of course mate, whens good for you?
Guy: Weekend if thats possible?
Me: Yeah man whenever im free all weekend.
Guy: Can i test drive it?
Me: Do you have £7500 in cash to bring with you?
Guy: No
Me: Then dont bother coming mate

Thats how the last 2 weeks of conversations have gone!
 
Was at a pretty decent car show yesterday, some really mad cars but i didn't get any pictures. Today i found out this was going to be a thing.

My bravo is giving me some shit lately, one of the injectors is leaking, have to take them for a service next thursday, blower is not working :| and now the alarm is tripping every single fricking second (which in turn is driving me insane)
 
My mate is looking at one of these, its done 89k miles and its a Diesel however it looks so nice. I really want one now :I. It looks exactly like this:

I was looking at sciroccos, they look really nice but are really expensive for what it is, depends if you can find one cheap and if you are old enough to insure one. I really can't wait till i can drive haha

Its good driving although its so depressing. I hate having a corsa but its all I can afford insurance wise :(.

as a former owner of a 1.4tsi scirocco i can tell you they are a slick motor. two years on i still miss my little pocket rocket. the fuel consumption was bonkers but the thing is beautiful. nice to drive at speed. strong brakes. my one even had the nice little blow off squeak. its a vw so its going to be pricey and it is possible to get a 6ft person in the back seats with another one driving. boot space is reasonable but the actual entry is quite dinky so it wouldnt be one to take to the golf course. a custom car garage round the corner from my house have converted the 2.0 tsi to a 4wd 450 hp monster. gigiddy.

Yeah, I've seen the '56/'57 models (with the single headlights) listed for everywhere between $30k and $150k lmao. Makes you wonder whether the cheap ones are absolute shit or the expensive ads are just ripping you off.

Where I live the only one I've seen was €90k. Would never pay that for a car (unless I unexpectedly become rich at some point :p) but they're so preeeeettyy D:

He's looking at a diesel one, bit boring I know but I'm sure its still nice. For diesels VW sound pretty nice as well tbh.
 
So my car was fitted with DIY angel eyes by the previous owner, now one of the leds decided to die and my ocd cant live with that, its not an easy job to take apart and open a headlight but I did it anyway. So opened the headlight, it was a nightmare to clean the silicone off, its super sticky and i'm covered with it (it sounds dirty, I know, because it is :)) anyway took it all apart, cleaned the ring itself, polished and wet sanded to remove the yellowish glue still on it and off to install it again.

Now heres the funny part, the "eyes" where yellowish before removing them, the leds are white as I checked them when the "eyes" where off, now that one of them is installed, it glows blue, I mean wtf is going on here ? :confused:
 
My 1st car has to be a diesel and has to be less than 6 months old and cost less than £10k. Any ideas because i hate the new fiesta, maybe i might like one but i haven't seen one i like before.

If it didn't need to be a diesel you could get alot of choice :I. Diesels are more desirable and as such cost more. You're most likely choice would be a diesel corsa. They do one with a body kit (that looks like a vxr).
Heres what I could find:
Diesel Beetle
Quite a nice black corsa - Pretty much what I was talking about.
Suzuki Swift

Why does that beetle look so awesome? I like the corsa too, not a fan of the suzuki though. My brother has the corsa black edition so i might go for the beetle to be different, i have never seen a new beetle till now, they look mad! :D
 
I think the beetle has a mistake with the price, i think it should be £15,004, i have asked the dealer just to check though, all the cars i like end up being out my price range haha.

EDIT: Found out this morning that the beetle is the correct price and now i really want it :cool:
