Cheers mate, Remus is available i know a guy ;) Love the sound it makes i borrowed an Arctic VXR from a friend of mine for a few days and i loved the sound!

But this will be staying standard, this is the daily driver not the toy :cool:
 
got some new speakers and a new stereo a couple days ago for 100eu, all new, the stereo is a pioneer 160 something, the speakers are a pair of 6x9 urbanaudio speakers, not bad for the price.

Then ended up needing to buy a new battery as the one I had was 5 years old and apperently too small for a 1.9 jtd, another unexpected 95eu as the car didnt want to start with the old one....

Oh thats the same engine as is in my family's car, a Fiat Multipla. It sounds like a tank :rolleyes:. Your cars will last for miles and miles and miles. Engine wise anyway.
 
I'm not sure if I should post this here as Its a mix of car stuff and an FML too.....

So first problem, spent 100eu in the past week for some decent sound, a pioneer stereo and 2 x 6" x 9" speakers, sounded like absolute crap, went over to the guy I bought them from and found out I had two wires inverted (silly me :) ) and some (very) wrong settings in the equilizer, anyway all sorted now.

Next up was the alarm system, it was firing every time a car drove past, or someone knocked on the window, or a dog barked, or someone walks by..... anyway it started getting annoying so I head over to a shop that installs alarm systems and I asked the guy, and then I opened the compartment where the alarm system is wires and he's like "yeah, just follow this wire and there it is, turn this knob down and you're done", he charged me 5eu just for that, not that much but it literally took him less than 1 minute in total, I make less than that in an hour goddamit :P

Its all part of owning your first car. For mine I did the audio myself and it was so broken the left side would stop working. In the end I had to take it somewhere else to get it fixed and it cost me £120 :s.

Then the car decided that the head gasket is not needed. But thats a story for another day :3

apart from the stupid money spending on shit constantly going wrong, I am actually loving the experience, I'm that type of person the likes to know a bit of everything and cars was one major thing I was lacking (and still am) but I am slowly learning from people, forums and personal experiences :P

I've no idea what my 206 uses but the mechanic said it fell apart as soon as he took the head off and my water pump didn't have any fins left :L
 
And in the land of the wealthy my boss' Ferrari pakced in but it's all fixed now, when he took it in Devid Beckham had his going in through his own delivery service, and not 1 mile on the clock. Has a Ferrari and doesn't drive it lol.

First time I saw his Ferrari with the roof down as well, jizzed.

hahah old story.. Used to have a 1971 Nova.. 307cu engine. Needed new head gaskets. Didnt know what I was doing, but why not.. right? Got it down to the block, put the new gaskets in.. got it all back together. Then came the valves... well, i had no idea that they needed to be a certain tightness, so I cranked them all the way.

well.. I hopped in.. turn the key.. and proceeded to hear an explosion work its way down the exhaust to where it hits the muffler and literally popped the seam on it! I could hear it echoing down the street! oops. Funny thing was the car sounded really cool with the hole in the muffler after i got it running lol
 
some noob questions guys, as none of my friends are really car enthusiasts so I'll just ask you guys :)

So been thinking about changing the airfilter to a cone filter and/or changing the back box and muffler, will this improve performance/improve the grunt of the car (sound wise)?

The A/C doesn't seem to be cooling, the compressor works but the air going in doesn't seem to be as chilly, I was told that I need to refill some gas tank but I better get a second opinion before pulling the trigger?

and finally, I still need the damn blower resistor and cant seem to be able to get my hands on one, if someone has an old bravo/brava/punto mk1 I believe they're all the same, or knows someone scrapping one, I'll greatly appreciate :)

this is a picture of the resistor, the base I have is green, but there are also black variants.
