I understand that Mach is a generic term, but i was thinking that calling 2 products in the same market the same thing is going too far, as when you refer to a "Mach1 cooler" you could be talking about a phase change unit or a crappy heatpipe thing.
With the Gillette mach 3 razor i can understand there not being a problem if ECT called their next cooler the Mach3 as you could argue that they are in completely different markets and so cant exploit the popularity of the one to help sell the other.
I can see however there being a problem if the market for the 2 things are the same, i know if you are knowledgable it is clear which is which, but surely by calling their product the Mach1 they are trying to use some of the fame of the Mach1 phase change units to sell their own cool.
I honestly have no knowledge about this sort of thing, i am just putting forward what i see are the issues.
