Can i Rma that card? 680 Twin Frozr

Hi all.
My card: Msi Gtx 680 Twin Frozr. I have max temp 70c while benchmarking and playing Crysis3. 65-68 C are in other games.

Can i RMA that card? We all know that 70C is a first throttle point.

On review sites , max load temps for that card are max 65.

We all know that is Twin Frozr cooling and i should get little low temps even on Crysis 3 or benchmarks.

to answer your question probably not as the card isnt faulty...

try giving it a clean with some compressed air dustoff works wonders and 70c max temp isnt that bad when you have 80c+ then worry....

if you was getting artifacts, bluescreens and or shutdowns then you probably could rma the card if its the card whats at fault..

Is it running on stock speeds?

I agree it does get a little warm, but I personally wouldn't worry over that?

My Jetstreams sometimes hit mid 70s if I'm being particularly cruel (IE leave Valley running for over an hour).

I certainly wouldn't worry about it or RMA it as they'll only send it back.

Edit. As for reviews saying it never goes over 65c? they usually run them out of a case so you need to factor that in.

What case do you have and is there any way you can add more fans to improve the air flow?

Yes card is only OC factory. I dont touch anything.

I have 70C only in Crysis 3, Unigine 4.0 and Unigine Valley.

Other games are 65-68 C, even Battlefield 3.

hah thats completely fine.and you can increase the fan speed with afterburner easy.much to go until you hit the noise of a reference card.and clean the fans a little from time to time

OK so despite these temperatures being totally fine and absolutely nothing to worry about as everyone has already pointed out, I must ask. What case are you using and what is your airflow setup? It might just be that there isn't enough airflow towards the card to reach lower temperatures. That being said my Twin Frozr 670 gets to 70C in my R4 with 2 sp120s blowing directly onto it. Again to clarify these temperatures are fine.

Bare in mind, most tests on review sites are done on open test benches which tend to have lower temperatures anyway.

It. Is. Fine. :)

The videos might be run on an open bench (as mentioned above), they might have additional fans blowing directly onto the cards, they might have lower ambient temp, you might have imperfect case ventilation (well, we all do ;)) etc. etc. etc.

Really, your card is ok, perfectly healthy, in tiptop condition, without fault, defect or blemish. Stop worrying and enjoy it! :)
