Call of Duty Ghosts min spec is up

Imagine that you still need the space anyway so it came on something that only needed plugging in.

Roll on the Cartridge days again woo!

Call of Duty: Ghosts™

Now with the newest breakthroughs in DRM technology. We are dedicating 3GB of RAM solely to monitoring every other thread that is running with Call of Duty™, this does not only enable us to identify software pirates of Call of Duty™ games, but will also enable us to find any piece of pirated software on the system of criminals! (it may also help to detect cheaters)
In addition to this, we have programmed a hdd scanner with the latest advancements in heuristic fuzzy pattern matching algorithms to detect any programs that weren't authorized to be on the same computer as Call of Duty: Ghosts™. Including malicious software such as "Stuxnet", "CryptoLocker" and "Battlefield 4". To reliably detect such malicious software, extensive programming patterns with a combined size of about 20GB must be stored together with Call of Duty: Ghosts™ to enable its full potential.

this will be a kick in the nuts for all those thousands/millions maybe of people that use a windows activator and cracked AV programs.

I'm not sure if I'm be buying, I bought cod 4, mw3, bo2 so unless the change is massive I think I'm be leaving alone.

Honestly, I was waiting for them to arrive on USB instead of discs...
If they make it quick USBs, we can play straight off them ;)

The good old days in college, finish your work and pass the USB drive around, drag the file to desktop and instantly boot up CS: Source, college lan! :)

Let's face it, they'd be super cheap about it and for decent performance people would copy their games to their own SSDs. ;)

The PC version of Call of Duty: Ghosts is set to be one of the best Call of Duty experiences ever. To make sure that your PC is ready to go on November 5, here are the minimum system requirements:

as much as i despise the cod hate train because the series used to be amazing and most people who hate on cod are hypocrites, that is the most retarded statement i've ever heard of them. as long as that franchise doesn't have mod support and no proper config it shouldn't even be called a PC experience.

Or was it?¿?¿?

:D

I will certainly not buy Ghosts, but if some people think this game will be worth their money and time, so be it, I wish them all the best.

I don't /hate/ it either. It's just that I've played the series from the start (Call of Duty 2, got 1+United Offensive two weeks later). It kind of sucks to watch it go downhill, as I really used to enjoy them.

Guess that's why I always kept buying them. I loved every CoD up til 5. Hated MW2, enjoyed Blops. Don't even know why I got MW3 but I didn't like that either. Blops II was alright but nothing we hadn't seen before.

I own most Call of Duty titles, with the exeptions of 'Big Red One' and 'Finest Hour'
but Ghost will be the first one that I'm not getting unless it ends up in some Steam Sale / Humble Bundle for €10,- or something, which will probably never happen :)

i think there isn't much to argue about any cod after WaW, none of them were actually good. imo the new infinity ward have the style, i like how the weapons look and sound, i like to use the weapons but they never reinvent anything and their pc support is awful. treyarch are the other way around, they usually have good ideas like bringing back the mod support with bo1 or the extended competitive support for bo2, but the visuals and the audio of their games are always disappointing, the gameplay is also always very tedious and boring. the killstreaks in mw2/3 might be op, but at least they are kinda cool, you got a challenge with the moabs for example, bo2 was the first cod ever that i really really didn't want to play anymore after 2 days. it's so god damn boring.
i really wished that bo1 would have been a success again, but they released the mod tools way too late, so bo1 kmod died before it even had a chance.

I have pre-ordered the Digital Hardened Edition of this, this afternoon.

I have played every single Call Of Duty game, and I really enjoy playing them regardless of what platform however I do play now only on the PC because it's where, I have been playing games since I started playing games around 18 years ago.

The first COD game where I actually gave up playing is Black Op's 2 because of the Lag Comp, where the higher the ping you have the better you can play and the constant 50ms+ ping regardless of what connection speed you have, and how little jitter you have.

I have the week of work when Ghost's is released because I will be getting my pc ready for the lan, I am going to in November and also swapping my fans over on my rads to the new ones I have bought.

I will post a video here on the release day once it's downloaded as it shouldn't take to long to download, if I run my ClearOS router and throw all the modems on to it in the house (4x 120Mb).

The specs do look abit stupid but since it's still using the same old engine just tweaked, I think people who don't have 6Gb of ram will be fine.

mate, the engine exists since 1999 and all they have done is tweak it, still ghosts surely won't run on any PC that will run quake 3.

Dude that post was a sarcasm post ;)

I'm normally pretty sharp on spotting a sarcasm response..........take it as a blonde moment...

40GB install, but I very very rarely play the Zombie survival mode, so chances are that wont get installed, and once SP is done that'll be uninstalled too :P

I just played it and my 780 keeps around 57-61fps with V-sync on. haven't tried it with it off and that's at 1080p

I read this morning somewhere (dont ask me where, ive had 5 coffees this morning.) that ghosts can run on 4gb, due to a file fix that needs downloading prior.....

means nowt to me as I have 8 but no ghosts.....
ill gave another look around to see if in fact its true......

.
isn't ghosts capped at 60, down from the MW3 91.

Hmm, looks like I was right with 30GB of DRM ;)

CoD never uses more than 3GB of RAM btw.

A couple of days ago I was forced to play Battlefield 4 with only 4GB of memory and it happened quite frequently that I simply ran out ouf RAM and then the game would no longer accept any user input. But Battlefield 4 doesn't use much more than 3GB of memory either... :D
