Not all games were created equal. Some require 6GB of VRAM for Ultra quality texture packs... Some require no more than 1GB of VRAM to make the game playable. Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is, thankfully, not one of those games that requires 6GB of VRAM. I mean, it would have been unexpected but still a possibility.
Activision have now updated their listing for CoD:AW (acronymalicious!) on Steam and given us an idea of what it will take to run this game well.
So. Much. Jumping.
Minimum:
OS: Windows 7 64-Bit / Windows 8 64-Bit / Windows 8.1 64-Bit
Processor: Intel® CoreTM i3-530 @ 2.93 GHz / AMD PhenomTM II X4 810 @ 2.60 GHz or better
Memory: 6 GB RAM
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTS 450 @ 1GB / ATI Radeon HD 5870 @ 1GB or better
DirectX: Version 11
Network: Broadband Internet connection
Hard Drive: 55 GB available space
Sound Card: DirectX-compatible
Additional Notes: Field of View ranges from 65°-90°
Points of interest are the 55GB of HDD space this game will use. Not so much a problem for PC gamers, more so for console users - This was also a similar amount to Titanfall. The additional notes about the field of view also lead me to believe that this game will happily trot along with a multi-monitor setup or even one of those fancy Ultra Wide 21:9 monitors (love them). Thanks to BluRay discs, there are now no limits for developers to stay within. Games can be as big as they desire. It's obviously not going to make many PC users think 'Ooo, I will have to uninstall something before I get this' but it will probably require a fair bit of data management from console gamers.
Head over to the Steam Store for more information!
