C70 Obot

So my first purchase was an overpriced pre-built rig.

I literally gutted the whole thing and changed just about everything - save the SSD + HDD along with the CPU.

I know I should've done away with pics from the beginning, but for those who are wondering I'll leave the previous specs here.

Asus P8Z77-M
i7-3770K
CoolerMaster Hyper 212 EVO CPU cooler
2x XFX AMD HD7750 (without the crossfire bridge, yea....)
4x4GB kingston hyperX
650W nondescript (tags removed) PSU
1TB Seagate Barracuda
60GB OCZ Vertex

all inside CM Storm enforcer.

----------------------------------------

Current build and stuff I've already put in:

Corsair Vengeance C70 Black Gunmetal finish
Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UP7
Intel CPU Core i7 3770K
Asus nVidia GeForce GTX 680 4GB DirectCU II
4x4GB G.Skill Ares F3-2133C11Q-16GAO
Thermaltake TR2 800W
2TB Seagate Barracuda
1TB Seagate Barracuda
60GB OCZ Vertex

----------------------------

I got few things coming soon, either today or tomorrow.
The new items include the aesthetic stuff that will make this rig works :D

I will get my orange alchemy cables, few cougar 120mm fans - orange of course, bitfenix's orange LED strips, and Thermaltake NiC C5 - but I will change the fans to cougars to match the color scheme.

The overall look will be robot-esque orange/black and I've already got acrylic window on my list, new fully modular PSU (because I had a hunch that the current PSU is starting to act a bit and to make it look good -i'm an aesthetic freak).

I will also do the optical drive mod to make it stealthy and nice looking.

I will OC this as much as I could later on, since a few days ago I've already hit 4.97GHz without trying hard on 1.39V - but I'm sure I could do better :D

I know, "why do you bother do air cooling if you're OCing?" - that will be the question, right? well, I have to be able to bring this rig into an airplane and fly it back to the States; I also have to bring it to Indonesia where I might be working for a year before I head back to the States.

I'm not going to risk entire water cooling rig to go to Indonesia where I wouldn't know where to acquire the premix liquid.

Hope that's not too long of a story to show why this robot-esque black/orange build happen.

*NOTE:
I will also post pics should I get a chance to get the water cooling, I already know how my loop would look like - should I get one.

I will keep adding pics as the build progress :)

I thought my purchases was going to arrive on friday, but no, hopefully it'll pops up today.

I'm gonna pick up a new PSU to clear the cabling as well later :D

*edit

I forgot, I've purchased a new acrylic to change the original one as well, let's see if I can find the time soon to replace the old one :D

I really love those full matte black front fans, the blades are very good, made with low attack angle, can you tell me please the maker of those front black fans ?, I guess are Scythe but I am not sure

Im liking the C70's popping up on here, i think if your going orange themed you could try a slight orange tinted perpex window :)
and a tip ... drop the hdd's into the lower cage you will get better air flow for your GPU/(s).

They are the stock Corsair's fans on C70, I have 2 spare cougar fans that I might use, however if it turned out to be too orange, I will purchase new corsair 120mm on it.

I tried using my orange LED for the inside of the case, but it made everything orange - even the black matte finish! D:

'tis why I've come up with an idea of using the orange LED for front panel and white LED for the inside of the case >:D

For the orange fans I suggest the orange Nexus 120mm

I have cougar vortex fans mounted on the case, I don't really like the nexus' all orange approach. Cougars are very silent as well, the only noise I got in my case are from the 2 front stock corsair fans - at least it seems to be them that's causing the very quiet humm O.o

Ok so massive updates, tons of pics :)

1st. I got a new thermal paste, because I'm out of my old antec, got a noctua now

2nd. I got myself a Thermaltake NiC5 aircooling, quick solution that matches the theme whilst I wait for more money for water cooling :3

3rd. Cables! Cables GALORE! and my orange LED came in, 3 more cougar fans coming in :D

4th the NiC5's screw broke when I installed it D:

5th I have more updates, however, I'm very busy at the moment for now just enjoy some pics and I've already got a CPU cooling solution on it's way to replace that sad broken waste of money - and yes, I've already asked for a return for some in-store credit

Thanks guys, let me know if there's anything that you would like to know more and/or suggestions! :D

Updates! woohoo!

new cables and everything!

well, ok, cables took me about 4hours (my first time doing the whole cables on my own.)

Got the CM Seidon 120XL on my rig to replace that silly Thermaltake NiC5 that broke...

I tried asking for a return because it didn't work as advertised, they denied the request :|

changed my Thermaltake TR2 PSU to silverstone evolution as well, that helped a bit on cables.... a bit haha

*edit*

forgot to mention tested my LED light position, going to get 1 more orange LED for the front of the case and 1 white LED for the inside so I can see it nice and clear
