Ok so it started a few weeks ago with this:

I only wanted a new gfx card to replace my MSI FX 5900 Ultra on my 3500+ Venice machine. Anyway with a lot of reading and getting myself familiar with the more up to date hardware I decided it was probably best to build a new pc and sell my current one to fund it. So I was looking at a little bundle deal where the CPU and case came cheap but the mobo kinda sucked. As I read more reviews and carried on updating myself allowed myself to set my sights a bit higher. So yeah this is what i've come to from just wanting a new AGP GFX card. Funny how things kinda just run away from you.

O yeah and sorry about the poor quality pics and also the massive size of the pics. I'll get around to resizing them sometime but for now just wanna get them on here.. Oh yeah and also for the slightly pointless ones but I just got a little trigger happy!

Its not quite finished yet as i'm waiting on a PSU to turn up which will be a Hiper 580w Type-R and also haven't slapped my HD in there yet so there will be a few more cables to come yet. So far though kept it tidy enough..

I'll post more pics when its finished and also when its up and running. Planning on getting a new keyboard (Saitek Eclipse II) and mouse (haven't decided yet) as well as a desk so yeah will update soon.

Bungral, just wondering, how long is your boot time? Sorry but my friend has the same board and it takes him so long to boot up. How many IDE devices do you have and what are they?

Instants... Its the fastest i've had by a mile. The thing amazes me really. I'll post proper pics soon now its all set up.. Looks good too.

What BIOS is he running? Some of the newer ones make some peoples computers boot slow. I'm running the 0410 bios or something like that.

Its yellow from years of fag smoke i think :yumyum:

The cabling looks better than it does in those pics if ya know what i mean.. Its done so when its closed you can't see any or many.

In the pics you can see a mass down the side of the mobo and hd up to the dvd/rw but thats flat to the case so it doesn't get in the way of the flow from the front 120mm.

As for the setup.. Yeah its all new.. Desk was only 50 quid.. Result on that one!!

Got my 32 inch LCD turning up tomorrow or Wednesday as well as a 5.1 surround sound set.

Its a semi-beast i'd say but its trying hard... I do think it looks great though. I spose with the case its an either ya love it or hate it type job.

Its the 2nd computer i've built but the last one was just cobbled together out of junk really. Only thing decent in there was the cpu at the time but thats a fossil now.

Yup 900 is a shweet choice for air cooling - got 5 case fans in mine and it shifts quite a bit of air.
