So I'm growing somewhat tired of perching on top of a pair of full tower cases and a UPS. In a bid to save my posture I've been eying up the smaller ARC Midi which could fit on my desk =)
I'm intending on a dual 120 radiator build which should fit with a little Dremel work + I've seen at least one other dual rad build in an Arc Midi so I'm pretty confident
First off though some new tools are required as my three screwdrivers, one spanner and a hammer probably aren't going to cut it this time. A quick trip to B&Q sorted me out with a dremel some spare cutting disks an 18v Hammer Drill and a set of files.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Step 1 was to remove the HDD cage's as I'll be mounting 2.5" disks elsewhere within the case and needed the space for rad's pumps etc.
I left a portion of the support on the left hand side to help reduce pump vibrations there's now plenty of room in the base to accommodate the radiator width.
I used the part of the cage I’d just cut out to provide a more sturdy looking base for the pump shelf, this also conveniently covered up the rough cut edge.
More to follow soon!
Cheers then,
Dphi
