Build log: C70

yup, the color possibilities would be endless. They could easily be painted or powder coated to match anything. I still have a heartburn with my recent powder coating experience. If I had the extra cash I would not mind keeping the copper color and getting all new fittings to match. The enermax fans could also be easily painted to match.

Time for another update.
Some random picks.

I painted the copper tubing black to match the system.

And I filled the system to test for leaks. I initially had a small leak at the pump outlet and had to remove the tubing and check the o rings and clean up the ends of the tubing. After I re installed everything was okay.

Thanks FredEx, I have the system up and running again, I am really annoyed by all of the blue LED's on the motherboard. I may have to change my plan to use green LED's to accent the CPU and GPU blocks for blue LED's. :(

sebar!

looks great!

im looking into cable sewing.. keeps the rows of cabling straight. ive tried to
contact a couple of peeps that have said they have looms for these smallish wires
to keep 'em lined-up and straight, but to no avail.

one thing that keeps making me look is that one lone HDD.. dunna know why,
but i keep starring at it... thoughts?

You can turn the most of the leds off on the mobo, just go to bios and ECO. Then you can play around whit it :D

I tried that idea of tying the cables a little while ago, it was a lot of work and I gave up.

In time I will populate more drives into the cage. It does look a little out of place with just a single HDD.

I have not had any time to get into the BIOS yet. I need to get Windows reinstalled.

wow really amazing build dude !!
nice job !! :)
Thanks

i love it mate i really do, is the hdd tray stable enough to hold 3 drives?
and how much did the cooling system come too?
The hard drive cage is very sturdy and I would not have any problem putting 3 HDD's in the cage. :)

If you where to go out and buy all of the water cooling gear new the total cost is around $600 before shipping costs. I put together a shopping cart with all of the kit I am using but cannot put up picks yet because photobucket is not working for me right now. I will post the pics as soon as I can upload them.

I am ordering a piece of clear acrylic to replace the factory window, the vented window is just ugly. :o I just need to verify the size of the window so I can get the order in.

ah i was just about to measure mine tonight want me to pop it off and get you the rough measurements?
and i was gonna buy a big sheet of that mirror stuff you put on your phone that goes transparent when light hits it so its a mirror finish until you turn the pc on and then you can see inside or i was going to etch something into it

Could you veriry the measurements I have?
335 mm X 315 mm (13.19 inch X 12.40 inch)

The mirror window would be a cool mod. :D

im measuring just the perspex and get 311mm x 331 x 1.5mm so if you ordered that perspex it would be fine for cutting down
and yeah it would be a nice mod just need to make sure i have enough case lights which i think i do already... im sure it would work with 2 cold cathodes

Thanks, If the cold cathodes do not work you could try some while LED strips that will definatly do the trick.

I have blue leds which will they are rather intense ... Just have to wait till the end of march till i can get the bits plus ill have it lasered.out at uni so i know it fits... Could also for a simular effect get darkened perspex or use that stick on tint stuff for windows so it looks all black till the light shines through

That could be an option but you may not really be saving much because you would still need to get a piece of perspex and then buy a roll of film that will end up being much more then you would need for a small 13x13 inch window.
