Got all the hardware installed and wired up. Couldnt get any power to the pc. Redid the front panel connections and then only got RGB lighting on the motherboard but wasnt booting up. No fans, gpu ect... Checked connections again. Now not getting anything. Any thoughts, suggestions welcomed for me?

check you have the cpu power connected aswell as the 24 pin and check again the front panel connection are the right way round

yea used the mobo adapter for the front panel. didnt fix after rechecking like 10 times. wasnt getting any power at first. checked connections. guess something fixed and I got RGB lighting on the mobo (maximus formula) but no post or power to anything else. Shut her down a few times and checked connections. Now im not getting anything again

As NBD says check everything is seated properly, if that doesn't work it's elimination time, unplug everything besides the MB and GPU

So 3 things to do OP
Make sure everything is seated correctly. CPU. Memory. GPU
Make sure all cables are correctly in place and not loose. This also means using ONLY the cables that came with the power supply. Many PSUs don't like using different cables from other brands. Even something as standard as a sata or molex cable.
Lastly, confirm if any hardware worked previously. And if not, if you can tell us which spare parts you have.

The PSU did get power again on another test. Think the first time I may of had the ECO switch on by mistake which wouldnt start it up? All the parts are brand new.

Asus Maximus IX
Kaby Lake 7700k
EVGA 1080FTW
EVGA Supernova 850 G3

Samsung 850 EVO 500GB SSD
Corsair Vengence LED DDR4 3000
BeQuiet Dark Base Pro 900

PSU kicks on when testing with 24pin adapter. No fan when turning on with mobo connected. Not sure if thats normal or what not. Im starting to get frustrated.

Try testing one ram stick in each slot. Leave the other 3 out. If it boots, then you either have a ram problem or a board problem.
But if nothing changes, use a different stick and try again.

you need to start eliminating things
Turn off the PSU
Remove 1 RAM turn on and try to boot
Keep on removing parts and turning on until you get a result
