Well anyone whos spoken too me over the last week will probably heard me wine about my 650i based Asus P5N-E SLI.

Well today i decided to give it one last shot, on the last option i had left. Placeing an 80mm fan over the passive zalman HS i installed. The two 120mm case fans i had wern't cutting it and the NB waterblock i had was totaly the wrong design for my loop.

Nothing special, but its got room too go and its 100mhz over the 250fsb wall i had before!

NB is now loading at ~46. Will push for more when the water is back it.

Ham u using BearShare ?

I tried installing that for some1 with ZA and it told me about all kinds of freaky stuff, including emailing, that it was trying to do.

I like the 'Breaking News' headline, that was pretty good.:rollingla Like that you found out how to get past your oc barrier, good luck finding your best config.

(btw, theirs a SuperPi 1.5 that shows your score to the nearest millisecond (I believe thats it, XMinutes-XX.XXXSeconds)(After looking up Google and Wikipedia, I am indeed correct. This makes me feel good...)

ing about the board for a while now and every report i read on it yeilded great results, then mine plain wouldn't work. Was a bit unimpressed.

But now this board is proving its worth.

And cosidering it cost only £75. Its nothing to be sniffed at.

that is super news ham! glad to hear u were finally able to get some more speed out of her. now push her harder :)

Bearshare = the devil

Good work Ham!

For the price its a good board.

I managed to murder mine though. Or rather my Seasonic did...

But ive got a replacment on the way wich i fully intend on using. So yes, id still recomend it.

What did the seasonic do? I ask both because I have one and from the reviews they were meant to be the most stable of all PSU's hence their ridiculous price.

It blew up two hard drives and murdered my motherboard. Yet it still works.

350 mhz is a known overclock wall on the C2D. One thing you could try is put the voltage at around 1.4 ~ 1.45 V ( if your cooling can handle it ) and see your divider at 9 x 400 and see if that works. Also you could try to mod your cpu with a conductive circuit pen so that it defaults at 266 mhz which puts it on the 1066 mhz nb strap and should loosen some up. These are a couple of things you can try on your system to get higher results.

When I hit a wall with my AW9D, a BIOS update that allowed my to adjust the tRFC up a couple notches also allowed me to get upwards of 410+FSB. This of course doesn't mean you should jack up the tRFC as you lose a great deal of performance, only a little at a time to allow the FSB to go higher.

I dk where this wall idea came from, i didn't try and push it any further than 350mhz. It would have done more if i had so demanded. How much more i don't know.

Replacement is here but will have to wait till the weekend now.
