Hi,
I have been looking to buy some new speakers and landed my eyes on the Bose Companion 3.
It would probably be idiotic to run such nice speakers of of the onboard sound of my Mb, so I am in the market for a soundcard.
I have been looking around for soundcards but I am a bit confused about all of the output's of said cards.
The Bose speakers connect by a 3.5 mm jack into the sub from which the sound is transfered to the satellites by red and white RCA plugs.
I have seen some soundcards with RCA connectors but that would mean I have to bypass the sub with the satellites and plug them straight into the soundcard, which would leave me with a sub that has to be separately connected via 3.5mm plug.
There are also soundcards with five or seven 3.5 mm connectors, if I just plugged the 3.5mm into one of the 5 or 7 outputs would this mean that it only receives sound that is meant for a right speaker for example ?
The soundcard will be primarily used for music, I also plan to do some gaming on it.
Basically I am a bit lost here, so if anyone could guide me through this it will be much appreciated !
