BOOTMGR missing error

Hi all,

Been having problems with overclocking my system as to save the changes to the bios I require to "save & reset". This causes problems because of the problem referred to in the title.

The problem is I have to boot to my secondary hard drive where my games are installed. This is not a problem however it's not my C: drive and Id like to figure out why booting to my 830 SSD i get the BOOTMGR error.

Any help or solutions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, however I do not have my disk to hand. Have checked disk management in windows 7 and have 2 unallocated partitions of 101MB on both the C: SSD and my secondary drive. I think this means there is a BOOTMGR on C: but I'm no expert

Any ideas?

without the windows 7 disk you cant do much tbh if you can get into the op system off your other drive i would try this >>

go to start/ search type "cmd" or go through control panel and get the command promt whilst on there in the command centre inside windows type this

cd c:

then type

fixboot hit return then type

fixmbr hit return

after that reboot the system to see if it boots from your ssd

\c: < c being your ssd drive letter

hit return/enter on the keyboard not litrally type hit return i know thats pretty dumbed down but some people i help online through msdn litrally do type hit return lol

post back results please

sounds like your ssd had a corrupted boot sector you will definitely need the windows disk its the only way to repair it. you might even have to clean install it :-/
