On the image it seems to be in the way of the ergonomics of the pad aswell

A full-sized USB keyboard and mouse could push FPS games on the xbox360 more tho.

The messaging facility already supports a USB keyboard

That's a great design IMO. I can fly on those little keyboards, and it doesnt look like it would be a bad interference with the game controls. Being able to chat etc during down times or deaths in an online game would be sweet right from the main controller!
