i got a cppl SSD blocks on the way.... or perhaps i could mod up a block for the optical drive???

Dude this rig is sick, so much respect for the massive log and the attention to detail your putting to this build. This is the type of work I enjoy watching people put into there own builds and not just throwing it together and calling it a computer. Top Shelf bro...

I really wish my current rig was a piece of junk that didnt work....The cpu and and another Mushkin ssd need to come out of it to complete this rig......

sorry man.....
i dont heat my computer room directly. was going to work on some cable manegement today but a peak temp of 7f (-14c) making it awfully hard to get wires to bend how i want.....they get brittle too in these temps...
however last night i did decide to re run the gpu wires....i also picked up a cppl extra 6pin pci-e cables (orange bitfenix alchamy's).....nobody seemed to notice, but i had cut a slit in some 8pin pci-e's to get them to fit on the outer plug... all for naught now tho....
ill go upload to pb and post in a few.....
here you go......(man i wish my camera didn't excel at picking up dust (needs a dust filter.. lol))
gone are the zip-ties and 8pins.....seems neater to me....
and no, i wont be using the "orange" handled handle

my appologies for not posting more in this thread, ive been stuck on these sidequests....
****SideQuest**** little cousins rig, U.J. 3000v 2.2
Quick debriefing,
The U.J. is the rig my father (his uncle jeff) stated in his will that i was to get said cousin a computer before entering highschool. the first v. was an AMD pii 975 be/ asus mini itx/ asus gtx 460/ lian li 04 case..... hurricane sandy ripped through it tho, by means of a surge, laying waste to the vrm's and the ethernet chip....
keeping a long story short this is what i replaced it with
storm stryker/ amd 8150/ asus dcii 6970/ sabbertooth990fx/ hw labs BI gtx 280 rad/ alphacool "monsta" 120/ xspc d5 bayres/ xspc raystorm(cpu) koolance GPU-220(inc vrm)/nzxt hale 90 850w
but the gfx card and cpu were just temps until after christmas was paid off...
fast forward a cppl months and i get these in the mail
also at this time i decided to toss in another rad i had around the shop in the form of a hw labs gtx ii 120 (cool blue)
but because i cant leave well enough alone, i decide to toss 2 140mm fans, (akasa vipers(3.2mmh20)) on said 120mm rad
heres the MYST ed all naked...
and then *POOF*
also joining the upgrade party was this group of ssd's from "back in the day"...
4 crucial m4 60 gig drives joining forces for a RAID0
i like this part.... do you see the brace holding up the card@ the pcie power inputs??? that was made from the the brace bar in the 5 1/4 slots in an Nzxt Switch810!!!
also replaced the fans (stock coolermaster) on the "monsta" rad with a cppl "casino" fans from lepa...
and mounted the light switch under the handle
"Phew"......almost there...
money shot!!!
wire management never goes well when your RE-doing it
"filler up please"
and thats pretty much it for this rig.,..ill get a cppl of it in its final resting place in a bit....
one sidequest down....
one to go!!!
oh yeah...almost forgot...
upgraded to a 4x RAID 0 256gig.....

bitfenix prod. black/ MSI z77 itx/ 3220 i3/ HIS 7750(passive cooling)/ mushkin 2000mhz 8gig ram/ XFX 400w psu/ random hdd...500gig
now i think i got a tast of poetic justice with this one....i wasnt after any awards or cookies with this build. just a good ol' fashion "done is good" build.
well....
i slapped it all together....went to boot up. and guess what
......
.........
........... nothing at first......
..............and then boot loops, followed by a shutdown. power on again, restet, short boot loop, 3-4 cycles and poof.....a post.....
odd board.....tried a bios flash.....nope....different ram.....nope.....different ram slots.......nope.......different psu......nope......re connect all wiring......nope......maybe the cpu, try my 3570k........nope......30 days up and return possible......NOPE!!!
so what i did was order an Asus H77 itx board.....
work first post.......YES!!!
i gotta say that MSI is 1for3 with me....i wanna like'em... i really do... but 2 bad hawk 7870s and now this.....
anywho...after i got the new board in i wasnt in the best of moods. so i forgot to snap pics as i was re-doing my allready shoddy work.
and yes.....
that is an aftermarket RAM heatsink......
it's a bitter part of my past that id rather not bring up....
and if you insist on bullying me over it, just remember
"Revenge is a dish best served cold"
