Hi

As it says really. Doing a new build and going Sli :yumyum:

Not sure which board to get. Its going to have a E6850 in it and be water cooled.

Is the Striker Extreme best or just over priced.

Also read that 680i as voltage problems or has this been fixed with newer revisions.

Many thanks for your help

Why? I mean not being funny but why do you want to have an SLI board? Have you money to burn on a screaming top-end SLI setup?

Would you say its wiser to scrap sli and go for X38 chipset ?

I see nothing wrong with an nForce board(I have one myself and love it).. but SLI seriously is just not worth the money and hassel. ;)

780i is basically 680i but it has a BR04 chip which gives it its PCI-E 2.0 compatibility

and 790i is DDR3 only apparently but it deosnt have the BR04 chip. Everything is built into the NB, so I could actually be decent but only time will tell.

May aswell just buy a EVGA 680i board or something now jabski. :)

If you are going for a single card get an intel chipset, they pwn nvidia chipsets...

If you do want sli then wait for the 790i which is real pci-e 2.0
