Best fan for antec skeleton

Hi,

Have a qx9770 extreme and am thinking of selling my wc rig to go for something smaller and more compact, what is my best fan choice, give the cpu heatsink clearence problems on this case.

need a good compromise on noise and cooling power would be nice to still be able to be somwhere close to wc temps, or am I asking far too much???

thanks

Asking far too much, even the best air coolers wont come close to the water cooling setup you have atm....

And why would you consider the Skeleton, it's an absolutely terrible case. :S

I read the review and understand what yous are saying but I was wanting something much simpler/smaller and less complex than my dual loop tj07.

I sit really that bad and is there no fans that are any good for this, what temps can I expect @1.4v/4ghz

currently@ 47C idle AND A BOUT 66C Full Load

can you see a way of putting a simple WC setup on the CPU such a s 240 cm rad pump and block????

I'd say get an Antec Twelve Hundred (or equivilant) and use a ThermalRight Ultra 120 Extreme, one of THE best air coolers out there. Get yourself a couple of good noise vs performance fans, and you're set ;) Temps might be high though. I can't guarantee low temps. Although, my friend has a Q6600@3.6GHz with 1.45v and it has been fine for months.. can't complain I guess. (Not sure what temps, around 72 - 75 fully loaded I'd expect!)

For your setup those temps look really high....

My QX6800 is at 3.8Ghz atm with 1.48v and I idle at 28-32*C and load at 59-62*C. This is one a PA120.3. Meaning I have a hotter CPU and smaller rad. :S

And just why are you so adamant about the Skeleton despite all it's flaws? Dont get me wrong, if you really do like it go for it, but it's an absolutely immense downgrade from the class and construction of a SilverStone or Lian Li.

If you want small, comapct and practical, get a shuttle bare bones system and transplant your parts into there. With a little modding they can take water too.

Aye, even a mid-tower can take a decent amount of gear if done right. My vote will always go to the PC-8 because I have 1. :P
