Beginners Guide To Water Cooling

Ok, i need your advice. I am planning on buying this wc kit, i just got a question. Does the pump have enough power to cool my cpu and my crossfire 6970's? Or do i need to buy another pump?

Looking forward for your advice.

Hi Tom

I've been putting off water cooling due to my lack of knowledge on it and this video is a great help. Is there any particular parts in terms of manufacturers or products that you would say is the best, ie particular brand of CPU water block or pumps etc? I don't have a budget so price is not really an object.

wahhh you realise its a 120mm rad dont you

Where is the review for this kit please as i would like to know if it is a good choice to replace my antec 620 with.

Tom I noticed that all rads (when fixed to the top) have the inlet/outlet barbs at the rear of the case. Is there a reason for this?

makes it a tad bit easier to route the tubing to the bay mounted rez if swapped around you have like a couple inches if that to try and get ur hoses on.

Sorry for the delay but was invited away for the weekend.

But thanks for your input, will spend some time trying both ways before deciding.

Another question. Can you put the fans on a top mounted rad on the outside pushing onto the rad and into the case?

Really helpful guide Tom

What should i get for my i72600k, if i want to overclock and only need a 120mm ?? i have looked on corsair h50 and h70 but some say its crap ??

This would of been very useful a few years ago. but as most people I decided to wing it lol. great tutorial tom.

I would say for a loop that big you will need 100% a bigger rad such as a 240mm or better yet a 360mm but in terms of the pump you might get away with it the only concern is the resivour being that small for the loop you will be constantly topping it up. my advice would be get a 240mm 60mm thick rad and a SwiftTech MCP655-B pump.

Very clear and informative guide, something I'm sure will definitely be a help to me over the summer when I make the foray into water cooling.

A thick 240mm radiator for crossfire 6970s and a cpu.... ermmm why bother? waste of money and time
