Did anybody take the new Forza Motorsport for a spin ?

Been playing over the weekend, its not bad to be honest.

I had to remove all assists to make it more realistic, so I'm still pretty rubbish and learning the ropes

HDR is really nice.

Performance on 4090 with all graphics set to full is around 120ish fps.

Not yet no. Have bought a lot of games this month and last month. Just grabbed a key for Robocop and etc.

Well I'm having a real hard time with tyre management in the online sessions.
Even with a pit stop, towards the end of the race its like being on an ice rink, I guess its because don't use ABS and am still mastering the braking, I must be killing the tyres really fast.... Patience

its an 8/10 for me. Personally thought Forza 7 was more realistic. But 500 cars without reskinning or copies/clones of others is impressive!

I had to go back to ABS on as I was killing my tyres no matter what I tried

Very few assist. I think this version may need a patch or two for fine balancing. It is aggressive on the tyres for sure, and thats even with using pedals and wheel.

That said, I feel like without traction I spin out far easier in FM than I did with F1 2023.

Out of curiosity though.. are you doing all the necessary braking before you begin the turn? FM seems to really punish you if you are even slightly late on braking, or try to turn with micro adjustments and brake with ABS off.

edit* I think its just occurred to me, that F1 2022/23 has taught me how to drive E-sports style with almost all assists off. Just need to try and translate it to Forza now.

Yeah, I think so

Brake - Turn - Accelerate (Xbox One Controller)

Next on the shopping list will be racing seat and a wheel I think

In the mean time I"ll try and tweak the controller dead zones.

aha Controller. Cant comment on that, I would guess that might be your wear and tear cause though.

I have a DFGT got it for £60 off ebay was the best buy i've done in ages plays most games on PC main one it didn't lately was Dirt 5 but most everying works very well, i'll get around to this game eventually, but the horizons are imho a lot more fun.
