For those newcomers to our team here's a quick how to.
To begin, visit HWBOT's benchmark listing page here
http://www.hwbot.org/benchmarks
This page lists all the benchmarks that HWBOT list scores for.
You will also find on this page links that enable you to download each benchmark.
You can submit results for any benchmark on this list but there are benchmarks you get points for and benchmarks you don’t and I have separated the no score benches
You can earn personal points and team points
There are two types of team points
Global Team Power Points (GTPP)
Hardware Team Power Points (HTPP)
There are three types of personal points
World record points (WRP)
Global points (GP)
Hardware points (HP)
(NP) = No points
Here is a list of the benchmarks

A couple of quick notes
In order to submit a benchmark result, there are a few requirements you need to consider.
The rules for each benchmark are linked, I suggest at least having a quick look through these.
When running the benchmarks, don't have any other screens open. Open CPU-z and GPU-z after the score has been generated.
PiFast
Hexus PiFast, when downloaded from HWBOT, contains a file called hexus_pifast.bat. This is a batch file which, when executed, runs a preset benchmark. Make a shortcut to this file on your desktop and execute from there. This will open a command prompt window and the preset benchmark will run.
SuperPi.
The SuperPi used is a version customised by XtremeSystems.org and is actually called SuperPi mod 1.5. This seems to tax my CPU overclocks a bit more than the original.
There are two benchmarks to run here. 1m and 32m
wPrime. HWBOT uses an older version of this tool, v1.55. A newer v2 is available which I used when I first started doing this, had to re-do all my submissions with the older version and then re-submit them, what a pita that was.
Again there are two benchmarks to run here. 32m and 1024m
nVidia PhysX
When benching nVidia cards in 3DMark Vantage, 3DMark 11 and 3DMark Fire Strike Extreme either PhysX or PPU needs to be turned off
This thread on the hwbot forum explains
http://forum.hwbot.org/showthread.php?t=26427&highlight=3dmark+vantage
it’s less hassle if you just turn PhysX off
I’m not 100% on this, but the only benchmark that really benefits from physics is 3DMark Vantage
I get something like 4,000 extra points in SLI with physics on. The debate over this has been done to death on forums, see it as you like, HWBOT doesn’t allow the use of physics.
Don’t change any of the options in the 3D benchmarks, just run the preset benchmarks.
Aquamark
hwbot now have a custom implementation of this bencmark so download it from their site and install
Unigine Heaven – Xtreme preset is a HWBOT customised implementation of the Unigine benchmark.
“The HWBOT Unigine Heaven Benchmark application consists of the Unigine Heaven benchmark, developed by Unigine Corp., and a wrapper software tool developed by HWBOT. The benchmark comes in two shapes: a DirectX9 (Basic) preset, allowing people to test and compare low-end and mainstream setups, and a high-end DirectX11 (Xtreme) preset to test and compare the latest graphics cards. Next to the two presets, the wrapper software allows users to submit scores directly to the HWBOT database or, in case the test system has no internet connection, the possibility to save your result.”
Something I noticed when using this in an SLI setup, the drop down at the bottom of GPU-z is to be used as part of the screenshot. The thing is, when you click on the drop down it shows 2 cards but when you then click on “take screenshot”, the drop down disappears. The screenshot submitted doesn’t show the drop down with both cards. My workaround for this is after clicking “take screenshot”, I re-click the GPU-z drop down and press “print screen” on my keyboard to take another screenshot before clicking the “save result” button.
Submitting.
HWBOT makes it as easy as possible for you to submit scores. If your submitting multiple scores for the same hardware, you have an option at the top of the submission screen to select previous submission settings, saving you from having to re-type in all your hardware details for every bench.
Screenshots. A screenshot for the CPU benchmarks should contain 2 CPU-z screens, 1 showing the CPU tab and the other showing the memory tab. it should also contain the benchmark screen showing the final calculation time like this
For the GPU tests a screenshot should include a GPU-Z screen as well, like this.
CPU-Z can be downloaded from CPUID website here. http://www.cpuid.com/
GPU-Z can be downloaded from Techpowerup here. http://www.techpowerup.com/downloads/
When it comes time to submit your results, if you haven't registered on HWBOT before then you can register thru their home page. http://www.hwbot.org/
At the top of the page you have the options to either login or register
if you choose to register it takes you this page
Once you have chosen a user name and entered your details click the drop down selection box to choose your team, Overclock3d Bench Team
As for optimising your OS for the benchmarks, we'll work on it. There are some threads in the Software and OS section of this forum that cover this subject, get looking.
