Well, David Beckham is moving from spain, over to you guys in the USA. Dont think football (soccer) is that big over there, but mr beckham wants to change that. O and theres the little fact of £125m over 5 years!!

i'm sure he did a lot of work to get where he is today. I do mean the football thing, not the miss chav 2006 that he currently owns.

If this is a big soccer player from your region he is making a stupid move. Only people that play soccer over here are Mexicans. I cant remember the last school i was at that had a soccer team. Its not very big over here in the US.

Personally I think it depends on where you live. In my area, pretty much all high schools have a team. And soccer has a fairly large following with I think at least half of the student body following the World Cup last year... DURING school (as were teachers)

Might not be that bad a move, some americans show an hugh interest and he says he wants to try and make it more mainstream. guessing thats one of the main reason for him going there.

He's nearing the end of his career, money wise this is the best choice he could of made.

Most 5A Schools do have a team but its not that popular. Football (regular US) is the biggest sport here, and nothing can probably change that. Even though i wish something did.
