be quiet! PSU comments

Hi, folks!

I recently won a be quiet 850w Dark Power PRO PSU from an internet contest. It's on its way to my country and I'm waiting for it to arrive any day/week now.

Any be quiet! PSU owners here? Any end-user feedback about this PSU? Thanks!

I don't own one but Be Quiet! PSU's are meant to be very good actually. Pretty much all of their units have 80PLUS efficiency status, including the 850W

Yup, been reading a lot of reviews and articles about it. It does seem to be a quality PSU. I'm a bit concerned with the warranty coverage as I'm in Asia, though...

I would just put it trhough as much strain as possible as soon as you get it that way if there is anything wrong with it I would contact the people who sent it to you and let them know if ther are any issues, otherwise I doubt anything will go wrong with it.

I seriously doubt with the low-end rig I have that I can strain the 850W PSU, but I'll try my best! Although I'm cofident of be quiet's build

That's about 200W's worth of computer at best I'd say. Good improvement over the Coolermaster 460W though, where some units have been proven to shut down under 100% load.

Even when OCing my proc to 3.8Ghz, the PSU has proven stable. Maybe when I get my X1900XT card this will shut-down my 460W PSU...
