battlefield 2 question........

you guys who play battlefield 1942 this is pointed at:

is it worth getting a joystick? i used to have 1942 and flying a heli was damn near impossible with the keyboard and mouse, i know a few people used to have a joystick for that game but do you think its worth getting one (probably just a cheapo one) for bf2?

i might have to get 1942 again just for a bit of fun until bf2 comes out

I use a logitech freedom force and its the only game i use it with.

with the helis in bf, its worth the practice. When u get good its so rewarding.

Well I play a lot of BF Vietnam, in jets and choppers, don't use a joystick and don't think there's a need, though I've never tried one with it. Bit of practice is all it takes. Of course it assumes that BF2 will have similar controls but given that all the machinery looks like being a lot more complex then who knows. I shall be starting without one though.
