Basic build

Hey guys, since I built my personal comp, people I know have been asking me to build them custom PC's. I've since built one for 2 other people, who do not care about gaming, or overclocking, they just browse the web.

It's helping me because I get experience, (and I charge them of course) and they feel good because they are getting a custom PC.

In any case, I'd like to find a way to lower the cose significantly, because I know I can do a PC (monitor included) for less than 700$ for what these people want them for.

Any suggestions on how to charge for my time and labor?
And, how much do they really need if they will not be playing ANY games? THanks!

EDIT: Here's one I just picked out for one of my friends, monitor, OS, and wireless adapter included.
(He wanted a monitor with the Beats Audio jack because my other friend has one...)

Honestly, with the hassle that can come with it, its not worth building low end machines to profit from it. By all means go for it if you enjoy it, but it can cause some hassle for you if anything isnt working right (usually user error).

You could get away with a 300w PSU in that build if that saves you any money, possibly a cheaper HDD. Do they really need the optical drive? as that could be $65 saved also.

Good luck :)

I have done some low end builds for friends.

intel dual core like a G2020
B75 motherboard
4gb ram
any harddrive
a cheap pc case and included psu. or corsair 430w if funds allow
