Hey Guys,

After my recent SSD FAILURE, I need to do regular backups of my main rig, I have enough storage as you can see below I have a 12TB storage server.

I just wondered if you would use the windows Backup feature or if there is a good piece of software you would recommend

I make ISO's of my files using UltraISO, you have to pay for it though.

I think there are free ISO programs you can use not sure what they are called

I use what comes with the Seagate Blackarmor which is Acronis True Image I believe just with Seagate written here and there, gives you all the options you'd ever want to back up.

Just found that I have a copy of Acronis, have installed it on my pc, and am setting up the backup, but am wondering if I can get it to backup to the server directly??? can't seem to find any info on it....

Can anyone help

Find the backup option and when asked where you want to backup to, choose your server on the network tab, at least it was that easy on seagates version. Your server name is showing up when you choose backup destination right?

you should try handybackup its a good backup software you can do sync to sync between 2 drives or incramental backups or just one singal backup to another drive

handy backup.net

you have to pay for it thoe but i got a cracked copy off pirat bay becase it is just littel to much £ for me

I use and recommend Handy Backup, it's easy to use and reliable backup software for Windows.

There's also a free software out there. I've used it for awhile and can honestly say it's not that bad.

http://www.easeus.com/download.htm

You should be able to see there's a free version of their backup software from the download page: Easeus Todo Backup.

Just something all of you may want to look at in the future as an alternative. ^__^
