BackDraft Evo (a Nanoxia DS1 Build)

Thank you first and foremost :)

Still a way off on the hardware going in fella, by that I mean I've got a whole load of things yet to do to the case and I've vowed to myself not to put a single piece of hardware in until it's complete and I'm happy with it.

I'm waiting on some materials to arrive so I'm in a bit of a lull right now.

I would have expected nothing less. I have been forced in to becoming an increasingly patient person as of late, and most all of us here I'm sure are sticklers for meticulous attention to detail. I have no doubt that this will be a fantastic project, and totally expected to not see hardware going into it for a while x-)

Right, some more materials have arrived so time to pretty much finish up the internals :)

A taste of today's work in progress...

And here's the end result...

Simple but effective I think

Just the stainless drive bay plate left to sort out :D

It's lookin' lovely mate, now come on - get some sexy kit in there.:)

Soon sheroo soon, I promise ;)

After the epic let downs in the past I've wanted to put all the hardware through it's paces on The Bench, I want to bring together kit that fuctions well together, looks good and goes like a rocket :D

Just a few more bits to obtain however...

And YES it's killing me

WOW!! That's just so sexy mate!!!
You have executed it perfectly!

Thank you :)

I wanted to achieve something practical looking whilst providing a visual contrast, something to compliment the stainless and blend in with the black interior of the case itself; I think I've pulled it off (I hope so anyway lol).

Been following this for a while, its looking gorgeous! What's the latest ? Any hardware going in?
I bet you try not to think about how much you have spent on this masterpiece!

Thank you first and foremost Danlat, very much appreciated :)

The latest...

I had a delivery from Germany today :D

I'll post some pics up tomorrow ;)

Hopefully some other materials should turn up tomorrow to allow me to finish off the aesthetics of the case proper in preparation for the hardware.

In terms of how much I've spent, hmmm next question?

No problem! I'm probably going to order up a DS1 myself. It won't be anything like your build but its a very functional case even stock! I got a friend of mine into the brand and he recently got one, and its great to work with.

And well in all fairness it will all pay off! This build is already one of the top image results when it comes to the Nanoxia. F5 button at the ready over the next few days :)

Do it!!!

You won't regret it, the DS1 is as functional a case as your likely to find I agree; it's price tag isn't to shabby either for the quality of product you get for your money :)

And I decided the build would have shall we say a rather loose budget a longtime ago

looking very good m8 :)

Cheers fella, much appreciated :)

Time to say hello to the new arrivals :D

I had an absolute mare of a time sourcing these in the UK so decided to order them direct from Watercool (Germany); in a typical showing of German efficiency, I ordered them on Friday and they arrived 5 days later on Tuesday.

So enough spiel...

The build quality of both the block and back plate is absolutely flawless; the back plate is polished stainless steel and the GPU block has a stainless plate mounted with a black accented design.

Perfect :D
