ATI bring All-In-Wonder" to high-end cards

ATI have produced an "All-In-Wonder" card using their better performing cards. They have decided to use the x800XL and the x700 as a card for those who want performance and all the cababilities of their excellent "All-In-Wonder" cards.

The multimedia masters are currently working to enable full support for Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition on its current All-In-Wonder products dating back to the All-In-Wonder 9600 series, and we can expect the All-In-Wonder X800 XL to arrive in North America and Europe toward the end of this summer priced around $399 or £270 inc VAT

Which all sounds very nice.

Good news for those couch potatoes out there:

European consumers will be pleased to know that the All-In-Wonder X800 XL will enable analog TV reception coupled with Digital Video Broadcasting for Terrestrial (DVB-T) television transmissions. This is basically adding support for digital FreeView Television channels, but we're not sure whether that will mean you can view these channels without a set top box at this time. North American customers will be provided with instant viewing of up to 125 channels of cable or antenna broadcasts, while both European and American versions will also be able to pick up FM radio stations.

So pretty damn good from where I'm sitting (in front of my PC). Ideal for those wanting to make a HTPC but who don't want to sacrifice too much performance while retaining the features of the allinwonder cards.

Just an extra bit of info:

he bundle will include the third-generation Remote Wonder Plus radio frequency remote control device, and also a 50% off coupon for a Windows XP Media Center Edition remote control. While the card will be clocked at 400/980MHz, which are the same frequencies as the standard Radeon X800 XL, featuring 16 pixel pipelines and 6 vertex shaders, based on TSMC's 110nm manufacturing process.

great news the RAGE theater capture chips have excellent resolutions and colours .... problem was previously you could only get em on a 9800 £120 for a 9800 .. I THINK NOT
