ASUS Gryphon Z97 Armor Editon

Heya lads,

So I have the ASUS Gryphon Z97 Armor Edition motherboard and would like to remove the thermal armor to get a stuck plastic cover out that has fallen in between.

I've looked in the motherboard manual and online for some time now and I haven't been successful in my research regarding how to take it off.

So now I'm turning to you guys, do you know how to remove it and do you perhaps have a guid or so on how to do it?.

Hey bud.

To remove the cover you need to remove a few screws on the rear backplate, Very simple to do as they are standard cross head type screws

"Undo the little silver clips inside, You know the 2 slider things on the left and top of the motherboard."

Are those also necessary to remove in order to get it off?.

Nope not at all, Those only need to be taken off if you plan on painting the board

Ohh okay, so they have nothing to do with the actual removing of the thermal armour itself?
