How did you get the above effect, using a real slow shutter speed?

Tripod

Timer

10second shutter speed

F18 - F22

shutter speed depends on how much light you have around you.....take 3-4 test shots with different settings, choose the best one from preview(digi cam), then take 3-4 more with chosen setting but with small adjustment.

then its a matter of choosing the best one after you got it loaded up to a monitor.

also set the white balance up, very very important to get it right

These are some of my pics, most were taken on my phone 2MP camera, however the first were taken on a Nikon F3 film camera, using infrared film, the qualtiy is much better in real life obvisously as they had to be scanned in. And the last was taken on my dads professional Nikon camera (digital).

All the images have been resized so they might not be the best of quality lol. Hope you enjoyed.

Right then

Was walking home and saw this poor lil thing cross the road. It stopped dead as I walked past and I just happened to have my Camera with me (don't ask).

A quick couple of pics later :)

had to use the flash but it came out ok

It's cropped and resized but I haven't done anything else :)

Think I scared it more, but never mind

oooo those are pretty nice mate

A quick tip for everyone else though, simplify your pictures, at the moment, theyre high quality and some fantastic colours but have multiple focal points. If you've got a good enough lens, zoom right in, if not, crop them.

I've got some more ones that I like and will resize them now.

Can I ask what you used for those borders Pat123?

Pics:

All of these have been heavily resized. The panorama was originally about 15mb lol

The view from my bedroom window:

Some crows sat on the same rooftop. Quality is not fantastic due to the zoom I had to use.

A wood pigeon sat on the same roof again. These things are a nightmare to snap as they fly off at the slightest hint of a human.

This is a shot taken from the far corner of my garden (ish). I took two sets, one with higher exposure and one with lower, and then used different ones to create the stripe effect. Then whacked on some filters to make it a bit interesting.
