I'm running snow leopard on my imac, would upgrade to lion but its not supported, unless i change out the cpu and mess around with a few lines of coding but cpu costs quite a bit and not worth ir

On the bright side, i hope to get a new imac this year maybe or next year so i just got to wait

I got my hands on a MacBook White that I was able to keep and use for about a week or so, at first I thought it was going to take me a few days to get used to the new OS and stuff (I've always been on Windows, never owned Macs), but to be honest with you guys, I was able to use it as my main computer straight away without any hiccups. Everything just works. You could argue that you can achieve a lot of the same things on a Windows platform, but on OS X, everything you need is just right there, no tweaks needed, fire up the system and it starts working immediately. If I had to choose between an iMac/Mac Pro (desktop computers) between a custom-PC, then I would definitely opt for a PC due to the unlimited customization and better value. But if I had to purchase a new laptop, the MacBook would definitely be on the list.

point no.1 is that you can run windows on it to smooth the conversion in the meantime if it helps

use somthing called bootcamp.
