Assistance with a build required...

Hey all..

Friend of mine is looking into a build for a rig that is basically a file server with remote access for when he goes over-seas, for watching his movies, listening to music, etc etc...

He wants to use multiple drives, around 4-6 i believe, for a RAID setup or just individual not sure.

Ideas on boards and cases are all welcome. He said he wanted ITX but i think M-ATX will be needed for the drive usage he wants. Smaller the better as it will not be used for anything but streaming to his TV at home and then file transfers when he is away.

Thanks in advance

^^ that, the only one I can think of with more is the Fractal Design Arc Mini. ITX/mATX and six HDD bays.

Edited to add:

With regard to MBs, the sticking point will be Sata ports unless he adds a (potentially expensive) raid card. ITX with more than two is limited so realistically he'll need to chose mATX. You can easily find those with six sata ports. Remember, figure one for OS drive, if he wants an optical drive in it, take one more off, and you are looking at four data HDDs on a six sata port board.
