Arctic Cooling

i v seen alot of coolers from Arctic Cooling and they are the best coolers (except for water cooling ) and most silent ones ;)

btw they're available for nvidia cards aswell
 
Yeah I use the ATI 4 for my x800. Been using it for about 6 months, working flawlessly. My system temp went down when I first got it and my idle temp lowered from 49C to ~35C. Load temp lowered from 65C to 45-50C. With my card at 550/570, it peaks at 60C on 3dmark05. Best $30 I ever spent. The other ones for older ati cards are even cheaper. A while back you get one to fit a 9600-9800 for a steal of $11. These things have really high quality fans too with long life spans and good silence. I've only heard the fan when it goes to about 80% rpm.
 
i also ordered got some ocz bga alu ramsinks and a

vantec pci fancard that'll blow onto the card and a 80mm to blow along it

if that doesn't help i'll mod the fan on the vga silencer

if i vmod i'll have to hit 520 even if it silences the card permanently
 
I've been through VGA silencer Rev.3 and 4 and loved both of them :D

I'm interested in this idea for modding the fan on one of them... I hadn't thought of that... any plans?
 
It's strange that on the X800 and such they have a similar looking design that blows the wrong way. Into the case?! Eh?! DHES should have occured to more designers.

hmm... you forget not all card oc the same

i intend to run this card upto 480 within the next month, if i'm lucky

if i get water cooling i'll damn well hit 520 even if the card dies
