Apple 23" Cinema HD display DEAD?

Okay so I've had this monitor for around a year and all was good until yesterday when I tried to plug it into my HTPC build and I saw a spark come from the 480's DVI port as I plugged it in and now I'm not getting anything on the screen. It is a A1082 model. I've tried another monitor on the HTPC and it's fine. Also tried this display on 2 other pc and nothing. I managed to snag this back then for $40 so it's just a shame if I can't get it running again. :( Please help me.

1) Does the display still have power? Does it light up?
2) Is there any other video outputs you can try?
3) Try plugging in to the display when PC or the Monitor is off(preferably PC) is the recommended way to avoid such issues. It's rare to happen but i've seen it happen still.

1. Yes the power Led is lighting up solid not a flashing code.
2. No there is only a all in one dvi cable from the monitor.
3.I've tried this many times.

Unfortunately it looks like I might end up selling it as unknown condition. A possible solution to fix it is a bigger powerbrick from the 30" monitor but as it is apple they go for approx $200 so that's not worth it. Shame to see it go but as it's not working I have no use for it :(
Thanks for your help though.

When you tested the other monitor did you use the same cable? Just to eliminate the cable as the fault.

Which cable do you mean? This screen only has one removable cable and that is the connection to the power socket and the brick. I have seen a fairly cheap same display without a power brick so I am willing to give that a try. Thanks

Ah I thought it could be the DVI cable but if it's not removable from the monitor then that's poor form from Apple but not overly surprising. Means a 3 dollar part makes the whole thing useless.
Good luck with the other panel :)
