Antec Crown with internal pics!

Hi guys.

Antec launched the Crown prototype at Cebit in Germany last month.

Feedback generally was positive. There was a lack of internal photo's showing the inside of the chassis.

Note the internal design may still be changed or improved, we are still working on it - anything you would like to see added/implemented?

Cant say it looks very good or efficient with regards to the design.

Then again Im not employed to create such things anyways.

IMO i don't think it looks that good and i don't like how the way you have to put the HDD trays in also IMO this case is going to be a big dust magnet.

Not really digging that exterior design. The case needs a slimmer profile to pull off those front curves, ala the Bitfenix Pandoras. At that thickness, it'll probably look better going for a unified, curved corners look like the TJ-07. It's like their design language is all scrambled up.

Really liking that internal layout, though. Seems to be very efficient for the water cooling and storage capacity it provides. It's been a while since there was something fresh in this regard.

One thing I can see that needs a slight change would be that the slot for the GPU power cable needs to be moved up a bit so its closer to the card meaning less cable would be on show. That said I'd imagine it'd be messy with a full GPU. What kind of GPUs can you fit in it?

You can fit all GPU's that are dual slot thick, lengthwise no issue all cards on the market will fit, note that on these images the card used is a short card in terms of the length so the cable is showing more as it's having to feed upwards. With a longer card this will be less so.

Here is a crudely paint drawn image of a longer card with an 8pin power connector in orange.
The red arrow shows how the cable will come out and should be right in place.

Very Bitfenix Pandora-esque front.

Not too sure on the internals. Seems like it can be really nice in some modded projects with some time and attention spent on it, but will look like a mess in 90% of user builds.
