Anime Thread

Well it's better than nothing, but currently I find myself being bored by most anime.

Watching Zero no Tsukaima at the moment.

Finished all 4 seasons of Zero no Tsukaima. It's not bad. You can see plot twists coming 2-3 episodes before they happen, but if you shut your brain off it is pretty entertaining. End of the anime was also satisfying, unfortunately the author died before he could finish the light novel series tho (20/22 completed).

Edit: Now watching Steins;Gate

Edit2: 3 Episodes in Steins;Gate and I have to say: wat. It's def. one of the more strange series, the mains are all insane and have the craziest conspiracy theories, which for some reason turn out to be true... :D Love it so far!

Just watched Episode 13 of Steins;Gate and I'm starting to get annoyed... Okarin is handling those situations extremely stupidly... I hope this doesn't continue for the rest of the series. If the next episode is the same, I'll take a time-out.. I'm not good with haruhi-style time-loops.

i really liked "The Familiar of Zero", Steins;Gate also started to p**s me off i didn't finish it in the end....

"I find myself being bored by most anime" i know how you feel mate i stopped watching for a few years.... came back to it and again i'm getting board of it.

time for a time out if this don't change.

The problem is that I have nothing else to do.

Also started watching Itsuka Tenma no Kuro Usagi and will soon start watching Toaru Majutsu no Index

I'll finish Steins;Gate first, tho.

If you say so.

Finished Steins;Gate now. It's a good series overall, I have mixed feelings about the ending tho. It's the ending you'd want to see, but not necessarily a realistic one.

Edit: Finished the Steins;Gate movie now aswell... It's not bad. Steins;Gate is a series I'd recommend, but beware: May contain traces of a romance

Edit2: Watching Toaru Majutsu no Index. For some reason the authors decided to make Index a really hateable character... I hate this character quite a lot, right now... What were the authors thinking? This anime could've been much better if Index was a likeable character and not just some annoying brat that always interferes with everything. Also the series shows the harem-anime-typical jealousy overload... Are Japanese really so petty or is this behaviour just greatly exaggerated...

Edit3: Just watched the 25th episode of Kill La Kill didn't even know it existed until now, was pretty funny. :D

Edit4: Out of things to watch now... Guess I'll re-watch SAO-2 and then finish the spice&wolf light novels... They're seriously good btw. Also got me the Seirei Tsukai no Blade Dance light novels and I'm on my way to get me some Toaru Majutsu no Index light novels. All of those seem to be highly recommended so I'll go see what the fuss is about.

Edit5: Started watching Cowboy Bebop

Edit6: Finished watching Blood Lad. It's very entertaining, I recommend watching it, it's only 10 episodes +1 OVA

Edit7: After watching SAO2 #14 today, believing it to be the final episode because I read somewhere that S2 would be a short season, I was surprised to find out that SAO2 will apparently have 24 episodes... Will Alicization be teased? I hope so. Will it be shown? I dearly hope not, Alicization needs a proper 20-30 episode season at least. Still very excited about what's to come, there are some nice side-stories that can be packed into the remaining 10 episodes.

Edit8: Apparently the sidestories will be the Calibur story and Mothers Rosary. Good news because they aren't bad and it means that Alicization will get its own season!

Edit9: Cowboy Bebop is some good stuff... Can't stop watching it!

Edit10: Finally finished with the Spice & Wolf main story line in the Light Novels... 'twas pretty good and I can recommend it. Finishing the last two side-stories now, before starting to read something else.

Edit11: Completed every story of Spice and Wolf now... Unfortunate that it ended, it wasn't very original but it was very good nonetheless. The translation I read teased a continuation in the afterword, but I don't know whether it was from the author or the editor of the translation... Guess I'll never know... Continuing with Bebop now, then Maybe Serei Tuskai no Blade Dance LNs or Clannad anime... Haven't decided yet.

Edit12: I decided for Clannad, but I'm regretting it a bit... I just hate the art-style... These huge eyes are disgusting. I mean I know it's typical for anime characters to have huge eyes, but not eyes larger than half of their face... This is appalling... Finished Cowboy Bebop btw. Great show.

Cowboy bebop was one of the first anime i saw lol :)

I started watching SAO S1 again.

And will be watching bleach from ep1 again soon except the fillers with don kanoji ... he bugs me really bad!

OK I'm sick of Clannad... Just how damn ugly can you draw anime characters? It's outright disgusting. Lets see what else I could watch...

disgusting?! lol i'm glad taste differs cause Clannad is ONE of the best highschool drama's i've seen so far, the eyes aint huge at all, yeah they're bigger than normal but nog HUUUUGE.. And imo, the characters, everything has been drawn pretty basic and mainstream, its a kawai style. Dont really understand where you get it from

That's the one thing that put me off Clannad. What an awful art style. Toradora was much better.

I'm not saying the characters or the setting are bad... But I really can't stand those faces... I like older styled animes more, like Cowboy Bebop or Black Lagoon for example where the eyes don't have 100x the area of the mouth...

Edit: Posted this before but it never loses relevance when talking about Anime:

Edit2: This is undoubtedly the anime with the most stupid premise I've ever seen: Ore, Twintails ni Narimasu. There's only been one episode so far, but as far as I can tell this is going to be "The Room" of Anime.

Edit3: Started reading "KONO ONEESAN WA FICTION DESU!?", Trinity Seven and a few other Mangas (for which the names I can't recall >_<). They're quite funny, so I can honestly recommend them

Edit4: Rest in Peace Anime-Thread. Btw. my copy of NGNL Vol. 6 arrived in the mail yesterday <3
