Anime Thread

i was using animewaffles.net but the ads are too much, and i am pretty sure theres some viruses and spyware on that site too
 
Personally I love rawranime... I'm still subscribed to crunchyroll of course, and I won't undo that subscription anytime soon, but lately I've been watching almost all of my anime on rawranime (they have almost everything in 720p) even if I could also watch it on crunchyroll. I'm using adblock+ tho, so I don't know how bad the situation concerning ads is on that site. But they do have a good selection, it's free and high quality.

Edit: OK I just disabled my adblock to look at the situation and I have to say it's not bad. There's a skippable pre-video ad and a splashscreen that you have to click away after skipping the video-ad but other than that there's nothing.

Currently watching Naruto Shippuden in the 130's currently skipping filler coz well filler is....

Also gotta say Tokyo Ghoul finished up way to soon i felt it was building to greatness then bam it was over.

Akame ga Kill so ffffffing epic!

yeah the fillers in naruto are a real pain ;s but besides that i think its pretty good. Now a lot of people iknow mentioned Tokyo Ghoul,is it worth watching? Same with Akame ga Kill ^^

Second season of Tokyo Ghoul has already been announced long ago, worry not.

Currently watching Minami-Ke which is a really nice slice-of-life / comedy anime. Also watched MaoYu (which was surprisingly good and reminded me a bit of Spice&Wolf [likely because of the setting]) and Candy Boy. Don't let the name fool you, it may be strange but it does have it's charm.

Edit: Last Anime I watched was "Kämpfer". I kind of love it, while I also hate it. It has some appeal, the setting is not uninteresting, but the story is shit, character development is shit, the situations are overdrawn, characters are cliche, etc. etc. but for some reason I enjoyed watching it...

Both are very worth watching def some of the best Anime of the last few years!


also has anyone watched all of Naruto?

i skipped Naruto and went straight to Shippuden....... the thing that i dont understand is the 3rd and 4th hokage. How was it that Minito became the 4th while the 3rd was still living.

the role of the Hokage seems to be like the Pope (besides the last one) its one of those jobs that is yours till you die haha.

Also: not my favourite character! ;( And such a gruesome death at that... Ahh this will have me feeling down for at least an hour now...

Hat off to the series creators for killing off likeable characters left and right... Not many creators besides George R.R. have the guts to do so.

Alright guys!

I went to comicon this weekend and it occured to me Anime is the new in thing, and i know nothing about it!

Where do i start, what do i watch, id prefer watching something which isnt 400 episodes in!

Start with some samurai champaloo mate, then move on to some ghost in the shell an wash it all down with the original akira movie ^_^

I fear that after watching those he'll quit anime alltogether... Start with Fullmetal Alchemist or Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood

It just ain't my cup o' tea. There may be interesting philosophical implications, but as far as actually delivered content goes, it left me very bored. I practically had to force myself trough the first season...

For a beginner I think the slow-paced Fullmetal Alchemist is a bit better suited...

The very first anime I watched was Neon Genesis Evangelion, tho that may not have been the best choice. The first one I watched after a long break was Hellsing. Hellsing is also quite good in my opinion.

Yeah neon genesis though great, isn't the best choice for a first anime
 
Anime much like films, we all like different things or types and that's a good thing
I'd look at a bit of each that's been suggested and see what takes your fancy
