Anime Thread

OK, finished the last Bleach movie now as well... It was only the first Bleach movie that was horrible and full of holes... The other ones were a lot more consistent (still not as good as the series tho)...

Very sad to let go of this franchise, I will def. miss the characters.

Guess I'm going to end up reading the Manga ;)

After a much longer time than I expected I finally finished watching Bleach (well the Series. Have yet to watch the movies).

I enjoyed it a lot.

I thoroughly enjoyed the movies... Esp the diamond dust rebellion... Lol or maybe i just like Toshiro lol

not a chance. i had to take breaks to recover from the amount of bad ass. kenpachi is a freaking lord

Indeed. Favourite character. Kenpachi is really awesome :D
I don't know if the authors could've made him any more bad-ass than he is :D

Edit: Thought of a way... If he'd bite an enemy attack into pieces (if it's kido: just bite it and dissipate it like that, if it's a sword, bite and shatter it).

He hasn't done that yet, but I think that would make him even more badass than he is right now.

Has anyone been watching railwars? I've been see it round alot and wanted to know is it worth taking a look at?

I watched it. There's worse, but it's not something I would have to recommend.

Last thing I watched is "I couldn't become a hero so I reluctantly decided to get a job" which was kind of funny.

Watching "Phi-Brain" now.. It's incredibly stupid, I'd rather watch something else but currently I'm out of ideas.

Edit: What's the difference between Naruto and Naruto Shippuden btw.?

Edit2: Also tried out 07-Ghost and I must say it's incredibad :)

Edit3: Now I watched "Nobunaga Concerto" which is kinda OK, I think it's supposed to be an educational show and "Invaders of the Rokujyōma!?" which is kind of silly, but enjoyable.

Edit4: Gonna look through this thread for some old recommendations

Edit5: Deadman Wonderland it is.

Edit6: Cool, the voice actress who voices "Ganta" in Deadman Wonderland also voices Toshiro in Bleach

Edit7: Mhmmm Deadman Wonderland is definitely not bad! I like it! Just my type of anime! Good mix of Death Race and Running Man + Supernatural powers :D

Edit8: Oh the despair, the insanity! I love it, but I'll need something really happy to watch before I go to bed today °_°

Edit9: New Akame Ga Kill episode is also good.

Edit10: OK finished with Deadman Wonderland... Now to find something happy...

Edit11: Hibana Daida from Deadman Wonderland also reminds me of Bleach... Because of that extendable/retractable sword like Zabimaru

Edit12: Because No Game No Life was now licensed to be translated (starting in April 2015 btw. >_<) baka-tsuki stopped abandoned their translation of the books >_< I've started translating it myself now with the help of google translator and their jap. character drawing/detection tool... If only I could read kanji this would be so much easier and not take months

Edit13: Ugh... I hate this... Japanese characters make no sense... There's no relation between the character and how it's pronounced, characters themselves are so extremely intricate, it takes forever to draw them (I don't know how japanese people do it, this is horror), then they don't seem standardized, kanji have no relation to the object they describe etc. etc. it's excruciating... I've been working for almost 1 hour on a single sentence... This is going to take forever, but maybe it'll be a good learning experience.

Edit14: Currently watching Code Geass

Finished up Psycho Pass with what little free time I had. I really enjoyed it. Something I've never understood about anime characters that frustrates me from time to time is that when something significant happens to one of them, they don't tell anyone, especially a character that could help solve/participate/clarify that significant event. They keep it to themselves until that moment where it becomes almost too late. I mean, these things don't keep me from enjoying the story line of a series, It just seems that there are a lot of "facepalm" moments for characters.

Yeah, the same thing bothers me aswell, but sometimes this has to happen so they can keep the story intact... Also in reality you also keep things to yourself, don't you? ;)

Edit: Finished Code Geass... It's pretty good, I'll look into the OVAs now I guess.

Edit2: The ending of Code Geass was kind of predictable tho... However it's a good one nonetheless.

Top 3 anime series currently airing-
SAO 2
Akame ga Kill
Tokyo Ghoul<--- started this the other day. Mint as.

We've actually pretty lucky atm we've got some amazeballs stuff airing atm...

I'm also keeping my eye on the following ones:
Invaders of the Rokujyoma
The Irregular at Magic High School
and Nobunaga Concerto

The last one isn't great, but it has it's moments.

The first one is a typical harem anime and the second one is hard to describe, but good nonetheless.

Does Tokyo Ghoul air on Crunchyroll?

I usually use the Japanese titles, too, but it seems many people here don't know the shows by their original names, so I use the english ones now...

Last thing I watched was "Skip Beat!" target audience is girls if I'm right, but it was still entertaining to watch

Edit: Finished the Skip Beat Manga as well now, I can def. confirm that it's a girls manga. I do however like how ridiculously overdrawn all characters are, it's supposed to be a normal universe, but the way some of the characters act just makes me think of Gurren Lagann, just because of their over the top personalities.
Next up: Tokyo Ghoul

kimi ni todoke awsome story if you're into that kind of stuff
sankarea is really aswome but it's only 13 episodes
don't feel like thinking about more atm been gaming all day :'(

I'll look into it, thank you for the recommendations Synthax!

Finished with the Tokyo Ghoul Manga as well now, well there's one chapter to be released, next thursday, but I've still pretty much finished the series now. Unfortunate that it has to end, it was pretty good, I just hope the next chapter will be very long (like more than the usual 20 pages and more towards 40-50).. There's still a bit of unresolved stuff that I need to see resolved.

Edit: Finished the Sankarea Anime and I'm reading the Manga right now... It's funny, but it kind of feels like another harem-type thing to me ...

Edit2: Finished the Manga as well now, but I don't know if this was the last issue or not, it ends kind of on a cliff-hanger...

Edit3: Finished Kimi ni Todoke as well... Don't know what to do now, I think I'll find something new
