it is a melancholy it aint for everybody, it's more for the hardcore anime people if you can watch it out you'll love it. like the small details like her haircuts and her ribbons and how she actually is god but doesn't know it

Also there are two versions on crunchyroll: 2006 and 2008 or something... Is the newer version a second season or is it a reboot? I've only seen episode 1 of the 2006 version on crunchyroll and someone in the comments mentioned that the episodes are shown out of order and suggested another episode order... How should I watch it?

it's the second season the 2008 version just watch it normally but there's a timeloop in the second seazon and they actually show the same episode 6 times lol with different details. i would suggest if you don't like it after 4 episodes just ditch it it's a wiard anime :d the person that commented that the episodes are on wrong timmings doesn't get the anime .
OK finished Elfen Lied now... It was certainly not bad. It was quite gory, but at no point in time did I have goosebumps, watery eyes or deep enthusiasm for the characters. Tbh. I've enjoyed Gurren Lagann more, the characters were much more likable. But I understand that Elfen Lied was meant mostly as a social commentary than entertainment, so it wasn't bad. Gonna see if I can warm up to the "The Melancholy of ..." thing.

The first episode (the one where they make a shitty movie) is really bad, but if you can see past that, it's actually interesting, so I'll keep watching.
Altough the Subtitles on Crunchyroll suck for this one (they're like 1980s teletext)
