Amd APU Confirmed

Hey everyone! This thread will be about a few things related to next gen stuff.. I say AMD APU Confirmed in the topic just to keep it short.

While just surfing random computer rumors over the internet i came across this link and an AMD 8970 leak here

and also this link along with another GTX link. found here

Anyones thoughts? Does anyone have any ideas as to which APU will be in the next consoles? Any other ideas/questions that are on topic are welcomed

Well it is what i found but the author may have meant the A10 series confirmed or something like that. I am just curious into how the new ones perform!

Why would the make anything with 2gb anymore for mid to high range cards? Aren't we at the point of diminishing return now where the core can render better visual than the memory can hold. What I mean is that the cores can now render massive resolution with high AA and AF with crazy textures with no problem, but is bottlenecked by the 2gb limit.

Not bottlenecked but more limited. If it was bottlenecked then you would be seeing low gpu usage but the memory maxed out. But i do agree that they need more vram, but depending on architecture vram usage varies.

I am assuming you are upset with nvidias decision with only a 2gb frame buffer with yet again a small 256 bit memory bus?
