Hi. This is the new Gigabyte M8000X, an upgrade to my mouse M8000 and it's specs are excellent, build quality is good: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826146014&Tpk=m8000x

it's laser calculates the surface and other specs are excellent. look at Gigabyte website for more. I haven't looked for new mouse releases recently and this 1 top'd the charts last time i looked

Matey had one of those bundled with a certain gfxcard, that will remain nameless.

He says it's great, I'm a trackball man myself.

saw a couple of reviews of the g500 and kinda fell in love with it i love the extra buttons and dpi buttons onboard memory for profiles and what not thanks anyways guys

Razer Naga, But I actually use all 17 buttons

5600 dpi nothing to cough at either.

I recently picked up the Steelseries Xai, but that's $100. I think they have a lower market area, but in all honesty, you can't determine what is best for you by other peoples opinions, because most people just tell you what they have and how it's good for them. For instance I hate the design of all the Razer mouses I've used, yet my friends love them. That isn't biased either, I've actually used the products, and they don't feel too well with my claw grip.

Look for something with the features you'd like, check out some reviews online, and see some comparisons with shape and size. My new Xai is the first mouse I've ever bought, been using an Acer mouse for the past 4 years that I got with my pre-built Acer, and it did me fine. This new one is still taking me time to get used to, because it's significantly larger then my old mouse, but damn does it pack some features!

One thing I will note though, is never look at the DPI. DPI is just bragging rights to be quite honest. No one in their right mind, will use 3k effectively and be like, yeah man, shits real polished now I can flick the screen around with 1cm of movement. I actually have my mouse set to 1250, yet it can go up to 5000.

A mouse I'd say have a look at is the Saitek Cyborg. You can actually change the size and shape of the mouse. Think of it as a modular mouse, pretty nifty, and it's quite cheap, depending on the model. Hope this helps palio!

I have to say that having owned one,the build quality is poor, with the 2 top mouse buttons both breaking within 2 days, and also it has to be the most uncomfortable mouse out there, because of the shape of the side. And not to mention it looks like darth vaders sex toy.

Get a razer,comfortable,nice looking,and robust,aswell as very functional,and upgradeable firmware.

You can't go wrong with them, either that or roccat

Simplistic is the way to go with gaming mice.

That honestly sounds like you just had a bad experience with one, because a lot of reviews commend that mouse. I don't see what you mean by simple with Razer rofl. Razer has to be the most retarded unsimplified mouses of the bunch, and visuals are all personal opinion. I for one don't like wasting money on a fireworks show, or wireless.
