Advice required on thermal thresholds of LED tv's

Hello I am looking into buying a new tv, upgrading from a LCD to a LED, The problem is that i am not sure about the affect of heat on the screen as it will be above a fire place, we have had a LCD there for a year with no damage to the screen apart from a minor heat fracture in the bezel, with the LED tv's they have very little bezel but the one i'm getting is shiny and therefor reflective would it be safe to put it there considering the LCD was black and would absorb the heat. My logic is that if having a black bezel doesn't cause damage, then a reflective one will also be fine? Any advice is welcome, I think this is the best place for this post.

Cheers

Is there no way you can shield the fire place from the T.V? Like put something between them that absorbs the heat and prevents it getting to the T.V.

There is a mantle piece below the tv that moves the heat away from it a bit, but I think i'm getting some thermal absorption material which might do the job.
