Advice GPU upgrade

I wanted to upgrade from a GTX560 but don't really have any idea anymore about gpu's.

I want to spend around £150, give or take.

Anything around that's worth paying out for a significant upgrade, or should I just wait it out?

PSU (can't remember. Any way to find out?)

first, easy way to find out what psu you got: open your PC at look at what's written on it. lol

you also might want to wait a bit longer since the lower end cards of the 700 series should be released soon
if you need something now, have a look at the gtx650ti boost

Yeah I was hoping there was some way to look at it without dragging my rig out and taking the side off, like some software or something. It's not pretty underneath my desk, it's like a cable jungle. Also, I'm really lazy.

How much better is that than the gtx560? Is it worth paying £170 for an upgrade do you think?

from 560 to 650 ti boost is not much of an upgrade. get the 7870 tahiti LE
edit: the performance is almost double.so yes .

For the 150 price mark, you couldn't go wrong with a 7850, particularly this one which comes with 4 free games.

If you have £180 to spend it would be mad to go for a 7850 over a 7870 Tahiti LE

I would really really really recommend stretching your budget, maybe sell your card and put the money with the £150 and buy a 7950. Other than that, 7870.

£219 - £10 cash back will get you a 7950, but seeing as its out of budget, the 7870 Tahiti (think of it as a HD 7930) ranges from £167-£190. (any more than 190 and you will be better off getting a 7950)

From what I've read and asked myself , the Sapphire XT and VTX3D Black Edition are the better cards based on cooling/noise.

(*this maybe inaccurate, as its just what I've heard)

Within in your budget with 3 free games. Although I'd concur with the others you'd be better to stretch your budget and get a 7870 or even 7950.

On the nVidia side, you could go for this. I'd probably opt for AMD because of the free games but either are good cards.

On a side note, I found Norway extremely expensive the last time I was there, Komplett's graphics card prices are certainly going with the trend.

Not expensive at all, 1129 Krone is equal to £126, slightly cheaper than the 7850 was.
