yeah itd be cool if you were in a hurry to gove someone an off topic notice or reminder..or if you wanted to start a commpletely insane word game (dont ask)
Jim at one point was going to setup a little blogger type dealy for the main page that would let us just add small random bits to it at any time. I thought that would have been great

Yeah i took a good look into that, but unfortunatly was unable to find anything that was lightweigh, allowed administration (so we could delete comments), was able to use VBulletin user auth and didnt slow the website down a shat load

I think this chatroom is a much more viable idea as it wont slow down the loading of the forum in any way, and we can prevent google from indexing it which will be handy too

Cool... I just hope it sees some action once it's in place.
I know we had discussed a chat room and then shot it down because we wanted to make sure that any good comp discussion took place on the forums where it would be logged for all to see.
However, I say we give it a shot and see if it all works out. If it stays active and doesn't cut down on the forum posting we should definately keep it.
I think it would work well as a lot of newbies to the site (like myself )come on here for advice and always get good sensible replies, instant advice and replies would be an added bonus.
The only drawback I could see happening is that alot of people would stop reading the posts and go straight to chat for advice, thereby making some of the posts useless and destined to no replies.
