A quick mod

Definately not a big deal, but a quick neat mod. I`m posting this in the hope it`ll encourage y`all to post more of your smaller mods What someone might have thought of in a flash, someone else might have thingking about for weeks so.... on ya go!

Impressive, but why not just rest the fan on the ram?

dead spot mainly, and coz this is a bit more stable/less likely to fall off

Fall off? It's horizontal!!

I know what you mean about the dead spot, having said that the fan produces enough inertia (pressure) in the air flow to make sure that air circulates pretty well (as the air hits the motherboard it deflects, ensuring airflow is everywhere).

But dont this detract from what we are seeing here - K404 has shared with us some of teh mini-mods he has undertaken, please feel free to share yours.

Actually..I was thinking about the dead spot and the falling off issue on the way into town there... I reckon you`re right- just putting the fan on the RAM is easier. The dead spot should fall in the space between RAM sticks, and if I blu-tak the fan to the top of the heatspreaders, if shouldnt fall (vibration, knocking the board etc)

The evidence mounts that I enjoy doing things the hard way!

nice looks pretty neat, maybe sometime i will show some of my mini/ghetto mods i have, there all to do with fans really, so once i get a decent camera i'll post some.
