i just got the xfx 5870 recently and sold my 3 evga gtx 260s. i am loving the 5870. runs nice and cool and looks good sitting on a evga x58 classified

I'm very happy also.

Have a mild OC running on the card without any discernable increase in cooler 'whoosh'

And it fits with room to spare in my mini-P180 :)

That looks great, you have to remember that when the nVidia cards are released they will be priced accordingly to their performance, so if they are much faster than the HD5870 they will be very expensive. So imo you will not regret your purchase.

You got a bad boi of a gaming system there!! Look after it. :)

Yeah either that or they might actually have nice price tags forcing AMD to lower their prices which would be great :p Although that is not likely to happen I still haven't given up all hope xD

Cheers bud. Yes, been very happy with the card (and the rig generally). This is my first venture into ATi red territory and I've no regrets so far. I've also been pleasantly surprised by the quietness of the cooler fiited.

I've decided to put together a new pc and targeted the HD 5870 as well. At $400 it's roughly $300 less than a 5970 but should still pack a whallop. And I used ATI before I switched to nVidia with the release of the 7800GTXs, always thought the Radeons looked better. After a pair of 7900GTs I went to an 8800GTS640mb, but gave up on SLI when nVidia didn't make dual monitors a reality; by then I got used to dual monitors one video card and it was easier on the wallet to boot. Now that ATI is back on the ball after screwing around with the graphics for the Xbox I'm jumping back on the ATI bandwagon. ;]

*Now all I need is a good FPS to test my rig out on when I get it together next month.

Just moved to ATI (2 x XFX 5870) from a Nv 285 and i have to say so far i like what i have, pitty about NV not being able to sort out the next gen cards but thats life.

Im going to wait. I know theres always the risk of waiting and waiting, but I think there might be something good with these cards. So we shall see....I do like the 5870's though.

I´m glad I bought the 5770 Vapor-X. Great performance and a great overclocker and for a reasonable price it's great.

nVidia is taking way too long.

Got my XFX 5850 on wednesday and could not be more pleased.

Great card with what seems great overclocking ability. ATI have really been on top form over the last year and with this card i think it really shows.

Good to hear that many of us are happy with team red!!

The Asus 5870 I have is purring along very nicely with a 'mild' overclock.
