and look what it is i introduce the MSI N460GTX Cyclone OC Edition 768mb

cost me £160 only £5 more than the stock one with this huge cooler on it

here is some pics of it :)

the stock specs are

- Core Speed: 725MHz

- Memory Speed: 768MB GDDR5 3600MHz

- Shader Speed: 1450MHz

once i get it installed ill give it a run on 3dmark06 and the heaven bench then ill give it a go overclockin it see how high i can get on stock volts then run them again and then after that a little voltage tweak to try and get the top clocks and run them all again ill post screenies after each :D

I still LOL at those sinks, looks like a chopped up intel heatsink with some heatpipes out the top :p

Dude it reminds me of my BFG 5950 ultra haha. They may cool really well but god damn they're bugly.

That's awesome! How are your CPU temps these days? See much difference? As most heat will obviously be dumped into the case?

they seem to be exactly the same as ive got a scythe ultra kaze 3000 cabled tied into the 5.25" bays and that pumps in a ton of air

well done fella, thats some nice OCin get 1Ghz on there fella

try 1.062mv for 1000Mhz

but bench it at that volt first, what are you idleing at

highest ive got it is 950 and it keeps crashin @ .975 and the display in afterburner after that its just sittin at 400 core and wont move up so ill prob restart and try strait from the clocks i had

it idles about 33 on auto fan but i put it to 100% and it does down to 26

jaysus that is a good cooler,i have mine set to 70% all the time and in this warm room i idle at 30-32c.

start wacking the volts on fella you have a good card there,as the asus needed a volt jump to even get to 960mhz core

what have you got the memory at

2000 mate ill try bump that to 2100 and see if the core will go up more but i think ive hit at wall at 910 tho ive got the volts set at 1.062 now and thats as stable

seems the 950 run wasnt and its needed a massive hike for it not to just revert back to stock clocks in the middle of a bench

you mem should run fine at 2200,i have mine at 2190mhz but thats as i have some more mem than you do.

your Core is a good OC fella and your shaders aswell you should pull some good PDP,overall it seems like you made a good purchase.

how loud is that cooler?

ill give it more of a go and see what more i can get outta it its sittin at 915/1830/2100 just now and ive got my gts250 sittin there folding away again so i shouldnt take a massive ppd hit

the cooler is reallly really quiet i cant hear it at all at 70% fan im takin bad to this when the 9800gt's fan whined sooo much! here's a screenie of my oc'd heaven run

try 2200mem fella it should be ok,i am stable at 2180mhz

i am folding stable at 900mhz core, but not heaven lol
