Hi,

the only thing left to decide for my new system is the PSU. At this point i´m pretty much out of my budget since i brought some more expensive parts. That´s why i need to find a PSU that can handle this system with an 4,2 GHz OC for ~3 years for ~80 bucks. I´ve run my details through this website and it sugested me a PSU that provides at least 725W (that includes 30% more W for the powerloss over the years because it will be used 24/7) but i think 700W will be enough.

So in a nutshell i´m looking for a strong/solid and quiet as possible PSU for 80€.

Dont skimp on your psu, its one of the most important components in your system!

I suggest the ax850 or 1200 version if youre planning on future upgrades!

I agree with AmEpic that you shouldn't skimp on a PSU really. My Corsair HX850 has a 5 year warranty and will outlive all of the other components in my rig.

Get a reputable brand like Corsair and you won't be sorry.

You won't be able to afford a modular one for the money you've got, but one of their TX 750W psu's goes for about £80 or so in the UK which at current exchange rates mean it should only be a little more on the continent.

Like my HX850, the new TX750W V2 comes with a 5 year warranty, as well as being more efficient and quieter than the old model. So look out for the gold and black livery as opposed to the old orange and black if you can.

Generally speaking though, a PSU from Corsair, NZXT, Seasonic or Enermax will serve you well.

Hope that helps

Not being funny if you have got a 980x and a 580lightning you need to spend more wonga on a psu...... Simples.

I´ve got both, the 980x and the 580 for a steal (about half the price) wasn´t even considering these parts. Even through i got that, i´m over my budget and more than €80 isn´t possible, since i need to build the pc this week to start working and i´m not going to get any more money than that.

A very efficent 850W or a run of the mill 1000W will do the job nicely. PUS's are at there most efficent at about half there rated load! but a Corsair HX1000 should so the trick, plenty of amps and a decent wattage.
